Why We Like This Place
The drive up Angeles Crest Highway to La Cañada Flintridge Country Club provides such spectacular views of the valley below you’ll probably be surprised no one thought of adding a scenic turnout for you to stop the car and admire it for a while. Don’t worry; the view gets even better by the time you reach the clubhouse.
Located northeast of downtown Los Angeles, roughly halfway between Glendale and Pasadena, the affluent community of La Cañada Flintridge hugs the San Gabriel Mountains to the north. Beautiful homes, partially hidden by profuse vegetation, dot the hillsides and overlook the city below. Enjoying what must be one of the choicest spots in the area is the private La Cañada Flintridge Country Club, which—fortunately for nonmembers!—welcomes the public to use their event spaces.
For nearly 50 years, LCFCC and its extensive banquet facilities have been available for special occasions of every size and variety, from weddings and holiday parties to reunions, bar/bat mitzvahs and quinceañeras. The classic Jack Simison-designed mid-century clubhouse has seven banquet rooms to choose from, with magnificent vistas in every direction.
Guests enjoy a sweeping view of the Los Angeles skyline at the intimate, oak-accented Top O’ The Club, just to the right of the lobby. Yes, there’s a Top O’ The Club bar as well, and it’s another great setting for a cocktail reception, plus it’s right next to the La Cañada Flintridge Room (aka the LCF Room). This lovely main reception area has wraparound windows and a shaded outdoor patio, from which you can appreciate the distinctive combination of palm trees and towering pines around the property. As the sun sets, the twinkling lights of the city appear in the distance, creating a new and equally appealing backdrop.
For larger or more formal weddings there’s the Ballroom on the opposite side of the lobby. Floor-to-ceiling windows showcase the 18-hole golf course and the Angeles National Forest. A raised stage to the left of the built-in hardwood dance floor is a perfect spot for a DJ or band to entertain at your event.
If you choose to start your celebration by exchanging vows at La Cañada Flintridge Country Club, there’s a large bride’s room with its own TV and private patio. The pine-shaded gazebo ceremony site down the hill is bordered by colorful flowers and lush foliage. You may also tie the knot on the balcony of the LCF Room or the Pool Deck, both of which have inspiring mountain, forest and fairway views.
Before walking back uphill (golf carts are waiting for those who prefer to ride), take a moment to drink in that stupendous panorama of the valley below, which, coupled with the ’60s panache of the clubhouse, makes this location a California classic.

A minimum $1,000 deposit is required to reserve your date. Prices start at $48/person, and vary depending on day and time of the event. Tax and a 19% service charge are additional.
