Hilton Concord

Description

The name "Hilton"is practically synonymous with "fine hotel." But after visiting the Hilton Concord, we think "outstanding event facility"should be added to the definition. Not only can they accommodate everything from a cozy family get-together to a grand affair for 600, they offer package deals that make it easy for your guests to extend their stay beyond your event. And you can be sure they’ll want to spend a few days here, thanks to the hotel’s central East Bay location, with shopping, dining and other attractions just steps away.

The Atrium Courtyard is the preferred spot for ceremonies. This brick-paved patio, with its three-tiered fountain, palms, and boxwood hedges, looks as if it were magically transported from a Spanish castle. It’s particularly dramatic at night, when the fountain and trees are spotlighted. Guests can enjoy beverages and hors d’oeuvres in the nearby Foyer before entering the Golden Gate Ballroom for the reception. Large ballrooms can feel cavernous, but not this one. Six crystal chandeliers, carved wall moldings and mirrorred sconces make it wonderfully romantic, while plush carpeting and recessed lighting add a feeling of intimacy. And there’s plenty of room for a dance floor and DJ or band, too.

The tantalizing smell of an oak-fired oven beckons you to the Hilton Concord’s restaurant, the Grissini Trattoria and Wine Bar. Considered one of the East Bay’s finest Italian restaurants, it’s a culinary feather in the hotel’s cap. For small gatherings, it has a cheerful private dining room, enlivened by potted palms, brass lamps and posters advertising Italian wines.

The Hilton Concord’s expert staff can assist you in planning the event of your dreams and a whole lot more: Start with your rehearsal dinner in the Grissini Trattoria’s private dining room, followed the next day by the main event. Before tying the knot, you and your attendants don your wedding finery in a "Hospitality Suite," a two-room suite with connecting parlor. Exchange vows with your groom in the Atrium Courtyard, then it’s into the Golden Gate Ballroom for a splendid reception. At the evening’s end, retreat to your complimentary suite, while guests are free to experience nearby nightlife. Next morning, it’s off to visit any of the area’s nearby attractions. How about shopping at the many local specialty stores, then afternoon sightseeing in San Francisco? Perhaps a round of golf, followed by wine tasting in the Napa Valley is more to your taste. The Hilton’s state-of-the-art business center and conference rooms makes it easy to combine "business with pleasure."

With all this going for it, it’s clear that the Hilton Concord lives up to the chain’s high standards of hospitality and professionalism. No matter what kind of event you decide on, the folks here will make sure it has plenty of style and panache.

EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: The Golden Gate Ballroom accommodates 600 seated or 900 standing guests; the Atrium Courtyard, 100 seated or 175 standing guests.

MEETING CAPACITY: Event spaces accommodate 20–700 seated guests.

Fees & Deposits

One third of the estimated event total is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 2 weeks prior to the event. Rental fees vary depending on the space rented. Meals range $49–79/person. Tax, alcohol and a 22% service charge are additional.
