Description
There’s nothing pretentious about the Greenside Café. The relaxed restaurant is set on the links of the Dad Miller Golf Course, where golf pioneer H.G. "Dad" Miller made a hole-in-one on the 11th green at age 93. Tiger Woods might have grabbed a bite to eat here on a return visit to the home course of his high school years. And even though he’s no longer a fixture around this facility, the recently opened Tiger Woods Learning Center now stands on what was once the course’s driving range.
Jaunty blue awnings and the retro-inspired Dad Miller sign welcome guests to the Greenside. For most special events, they’ll socialize and perhaps enjoy appetizers on the café‘s roomy wrap-around patio, overlooking the tree-covered links. While open on three sides, the area is protected against wind and inclement weather by clear sidings and heat lamps.
Wedding ceremonies are held on this attractive outdoor space, under an ironwork arch laced with colorful garlands. As the sun sets, twinkle lights come on, adding a little extra sparkle to your celebration. While friends and family gather in the adjacent banquet room to carry on with the festivities, you and your groom can stroll onto the picturesque course for post-ceremony photography.
Inside, high-beamed ceilings are draped with tulle, tiny lights rim the perimeter, and floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of the patio and the golf course. With its neutral color palette, the comfortable indoor-outdoor milieu provides a backdrop that can be customized with any color scheme or imaginative theme decor. For a recent Hawaiian-style affair, one bride brought in pineapple centerpieces and a whole roasted pig to her guests’ delight.
Brides can choose from among numerous sit-down and buffet menus featuring classic American, as well as Italian, Mexican and Oriental favorites. Tables are set with gracious bone china, glassware and stylish folded napkins. There’s a built-in dance floor to work off the feasts the Café is known for, and the airy banquet room has ample space for a DJ or small band.
If you thought you couldn’t afford a wedding at a golf course, you’ll be happily surprised by the Greenside Café‘s reasonably priced packages. Low per-person charges include tax and tip—expenses that normally add 25% to all the catering costs. In addition to being affordable, events here are practically stress-free: an experienced on-site coordinator will work with you to create a perfectly choreographed affair. And since you haven’t broken the bank with an overly extravagant party, you just might be able to justify that honeymoon on that South Pacific island.

Fees & Deposits
A $1,000 deposit is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 14 days prior to the event. There are no rental fees. Complete all-inclusive package is $45/person. Alcohol is additional.
