Description
Established in 1980, FantaSea is Marina del Rey’s most experienced luxury yachting company, owning and operating yachts, a yacht club and a private dock. Daniel Ginzburg, the owner, gave us the grand tour and kept us laughing the whole way with his rapier wit. Under his guidance, FantaSea hosts an incredible range of events, including weddings, wrap parties, christenings, corporate parties and meetings, plus film shoots. Over the years, this very successful family enterprise has wined and dined the Who’s Who of Los Angeles.
FantaSea’s flagship is the Dandeana. Built in 1987 in a Louisiana shipyard, this 110-foot mega-yacht is contemporary and elegant in design. Wedding ceremonies take place on the upper glass deck, under an arch located at the stern. If you like, the ship’s captain, nattily attired in nautical dress whites, can marry you. Afterwards, savor champagne and hors d’oeuvres in the chic salon. As the Dandeana cruises gently through the marina, guests can chat up the captain in the jet-black, hi-tech wheel house, or journey to the fly bridge to survey the horizon.
Sister ship to the Dandeana, the RegentSea is an expansive yacht and at 115 feet communicates space and glamour. With a color palette and layout similar to the Dandeana, the RegentSea differs in that it sports a double staircase at its stern, larger salon windows, brass trim and a VIP suite. Both yachts have dazzling glass decks adorned with chandeliers.
And then there’s the ultimate 400 passenger, five-level megayacht, FantaSea One. Suitable for cruising around the world, FantaSea One has state-of-the-art electronics, navigation and safety systems, along with elevators, huge engines and generators capable of lighting a small skyscraper. Her five decks include spacious conference rooms, a bar on every level, a smartly appointed Captain’s Lounge, a formal dining room with huge bay windows and a sizeable upper sky deck. Custom built for FantaSea Yachts, this luxurious sleek vessel was designed much like a mini-cruise ship, and is the largest, most sophisticated yacht in Southern California.
For those who may not want a "cruising" function, there’s the FantaSea Yacht Club, a multi-level theatrical space that includes a bar, sunken ballroom rotunda and a smaller dining rotunda. A wall of west-facing windows offers a panoramic view of the harbor. Folks will marvel at the ever-changing skyscape on the rotunda’s ceiling: in a magical trompe l’oeil, the 24-hour rotation of the earth unfolds in quick-time overhead. Sip a glass of wine and witness the day’s glorious shift from fiery dawn to starbright evening—very romantic! With FantaSea, you can take to the ocean, party at the water’s edge or do both, knowing that you’ll have nothing but smooth sailing ahead of you.

Fees & Deposits
To reserve your date, 50% of your estimated event total is required; the balance is payable 2 weeks prior to the event. Packages run $85–125/person and include use of a yacht or yacht club, deluxe menu and beverages. Wedding packages additionally include flowers. Hourly rates and la carte services can also be arranged. Tax and an 18% service charge are additional.
