Description
To the Ancient Cahuilla Indians it was “Land of the Eternal Sun;” to celebrities and socialites of bygone decades, it promised the restorative powers of a fountain of youth. Spiritual seekers saw mystical beauty in its Santa Rosa Mountains, while artists and writers drew inspiration from an awe-inspiring landscape. This magical locale is La Quinta, an oasis on the eastern fringe of the Coachella Valley experiencing a veritable explosion of popularity. Known today as “Gem of the Desert,” La Quinta is one of the fastest growing cities in California, and one of the nation’s leading leisure destinations.Among the thriving township’s newest attractions is a superior offering from award-winning hoteliers, Embassy Suites. Located in “the Village,” a retail neighborhood in the heart of a stunning mountain cove, Embassy Suites La Quinta not only features plush all-suite accommodations, but swanky, brand-new event spaces as well.
Crossing through the fountain-clad portico into the hotel lobby feels as refreshing as a dip in a swimming pool on a balmy summer day. Everything is sparkling and pristine, with Spanish-influenced architecture kept light and airy thanks to pale marble and tile surfaces. Like its fellow Embassy Suites Hotels, the guestrooms rise several stories around a central atrium illuminated by vaulted skylights; yet this hotel surpasses its peers with a look that is fresh, contemporary and decidedly upscale. A waterfall at one end gives off a soothing purr. Slender palm trees and lush plantation ferns flourish in the sunbathed courtyard, and vines trail from the upper floors’ polished wood railings like emerald necklaces.
The exceptionally appealing public areas are just a prelude to the hotel’s two luxurious ballrooms—the San Jacinto, adjacent to the atrium, and the Santa Rosa, which has its own chic foyer framed in glass. Both give off a coolly elegant vibe, with a decorative palette of icy-blue and silver. Fawn accents lend a whisper of softness, and Chiavari-style dining chairs upholstered in blue velvet make a posh statement. The spacious Santa Rosa Ballroom boasts a fifteen-foot ceiling, and can be divided into three individual salons. Some brides stage their ceremony against the classic, refined backdrop of one salon, followed by cocktails in the foyer; then everyone adjourns to the rest of the Santa Rosa for a reception in grand style.
Brides will be especially grateful for the attentive service of event coordinator extraordinaire, Ms. Patti Emery. This gracious and experienced professional has a broad range of multicultural expertise—during her many years as a Certified Wedding Planner, she’s orchestrated everything from Hungarian celebrations to Hindu feasts!
Another welcome element is the Embassy Suites’ roomy accommodations and home-like ambiance; for extra privacy and amenities, rent one of the one-bedroom Casitas, clustered in convivial groups around the swimming pool. Spa Hibiscus is also on site for even more indulgence.

Fees & Deposits
25% of the total event cost is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 3 weeks prior to the event. Rental fees range $150–850 depending on the total food and beverage order. Meals range $19–49/person. Tax, alcohol and a 21% service charge are additional.
