Description

If you are a lover of ocean liners, cruise ships, yachts, and all the grandeur and pampering they imply, why not charter one of CommodoreEvents.com’s seven luxury vessels for your special day? Their 1600-guest fleet serves fifteen ports around San Francisco Bay, and its founders have been maintaining the fine tradition of elegant entertaining at sea for over 30 years. The white glove treatment is no empty promise on these yachts: their expert staff—from the uniformed U.S. Merchant Marine Officer captains to the waiters—really do wear them! And the service, whether the event is a wedding, black-tie gala, themed ball, corporate mixer or any other kind of celebration, is impeccable.

The glamorous $5 million Galaxy Commodore (worlds apart!) is one of the biggest boats in the bunch. The five enormous decks of this party palace include an ample lounge deck set with couches and tables, a dining deck for grand sit-down dinners or buffets, a deck for dancing, and an open-air sky deck that will make you feel like you’re on top of the world. Carpeting is plush with an understated nautical theme, and four handsome staterooms on a deck of their own provide private space for brides and bridesmaids. There’s even an elevator to take guests from one level to the next.

The sleekly modern $2 million Cabernet Commodore, with its long white bar and mirrored ceilings, is a truly elegent mega-yacht, which looks like a set for a James Bond movie. Its sister yacht, the Chardonnay Commodore, is equally stunning. The Treasure Island Commodore, a true trimaran, boasts one of the Bay Area’s very best views from a dining deck that features floor-to-ceiling glass. Couples yearning for an intimate outdoor ceremony framed by sunlight-spangled waters and delft-blue skies might want to consider the Chablis Commodore. Popular because it serves large groups and small, it has a roomy dance floor on the first deck and a spacious second deck that is mostly uncovered. A furnished salon aft of the pilothouse, with French windows that open toward the stern, is a lovely hideaway for guests or a bride ready to make an appearance.

Then there’s the magnificent Celebrations Commodore, a three-deck replica of an old-fashioned New York State Hudson River Steamboat. It has a 30-foot dance floor, roomy viewing platforms on the bow, and accommodates up to 468 guests and crew. Smallest in the fleet, the Shamrock Commodore, is a nineteen-knot diesel-powered yacht ideal for intimate gatherings.

All vessels feature well-appointed settings for dining, relaxing and entertaining; decks outdoors on bow, stern and topside; gorgeous wraparound views of the bay; and multiple options for a wide variety of private and social functions.

Before booking any other venue, make reservations for one of their open houses where you may "Meet the Fleet". Bon Voyage!
