Description
Used to be a town like Livermore was simply a place you passed through on your way to somewhere bigger and better; but not anymore. These days, Livermore is often called "Little Napa" for its growing wine industry, and folks from all over the Bay Area routinely stop here to sample the wines and enjoy the combination of small-town hospitality and rural flavor. They’ve also discovered another local attraction: the Clubhouse and Golf Course at Las Positas. This popular facility is in demand not just for golf, but for weddings, corporate banquets and other special celebrations. What makes it so appealing? Great service and a versatile setting for a reasonable price.
The Clubhouse includes Beeb’s Sports Bar & Grill, a private Banquet room, and a Patio—all with lovely views of the manicured grounds. The enthusiastic staff are genuinely pleased to serve, so it’s no wonder that the two words that come to mind when you visit the Clubhouse are "friendly" and "fun."
The "fun" starts at Beeb’s Sports Bar and Grill, which has been consistently voted Best Sports Bar in Alameda County. The restaurant’s lively atmosphere and built-in service area are just right for a casual celebration. Boasting an impressive collection of sports memorabilia, games, and television sets, Beeb’s has plenty to keep the sports enthusiast engaged. Seated guests can even enjoy a little golf (vicariously, of course) by watching the putting action just beyond the bank of dining room windows.
For something more formal, opt for the Clubhouse’s Banquet Room with its own private entrance and dance floor. A high, pyramid-shaped ceiling meets walls of windows trimmed in wood; a ledge above the windows decked with ivy and twinkle-lights adds a festive touch. One of the nicest features of the Banquet Room is that it opens onto the Patio, allowing your event to become instantly al fresco. The ample patio, shaded by a deep, wooden overhang, is delightful for a buffet or barbecue. It’s also a great spot for cocktails and appetizers before inviting your guests inside for a buffet reception. And whether you’re on the patio or in the Banquet Room, the pastoral vista is always there, lending a feeling of peaceful contentment.
That view also makes a picturesque backdrop for couples who get married here. Ceremonies usually take place out on the private lawn under an archway. The surrounding hillsides cradle acres of lawn dotted with trees and colorful blooms, while several quaint foot-bridges arch over a running stream.
As you can see, you don’t need to be a sports aficionado to fully appreciate the Clubhouse at Las Positas. However, if you would like to make sports an integral part of your event, it’s very easy to do: the Banquet Room has TV monitors ready and waiting. Show an instructional video to improve your group’s golf game, or entertain guests with "athletic" home movies. One group of partying skydivers played tapes of their most spectacular jumps! Brides and grooms have even made use of the AV equipment to show a retrospective of them growing up. And don’t forget golf—a tournament can be incorporated into any event—including a wedding!
Wherever inspiration takes you, the Clubhouse staff will follow. As the folks here are fond of saying, "If we don’t have it, we will find it and provide it for you." Now, that’s the kind of attitude that has made Las Positas not just a local favorite, but a bona fide Bay Area destination.

Fees & Deposits
For weddings and social functions, a $1,000 deposit is required to reserve your date; the balance is due 10 days prior to the event. Room rental fees range $800–1,400. Buffets run $28–34/person. Wedding packages are available starting at $28/person and include appetizers, champagne toast and dinner. Beverage packages start at $14/person. Custom menus are available. Tax, alcohol and an 18% service charge are additional. A $400 ceremony setup fee is extra.For business functions, a $100–500 deposit is required to reserve your date. The balance is due the day of the event. Room rental fees range $200–500 depending on space rented. Meals run $6–19/person; tax, alcohol and an 18% service charge are additional.
