Conveniently located in Alameda’s Mariner Square, just minutes away from Oakland and San Francisco, Bayside Pavilion has the space, versatility and amenities to accommodate almost any type of special event. Wedding receptions, parties (office, anniversary or birthday), bar & bat mitzvahs and holiday celebrations can all be expertly arranged here.

A waterfall entryway welcomes you into this 10,000 square-foot facility, where high ceilings, clean lines and a neutral interior enable you to create whatever ambiance you desire. During the day, warm natural light fills the banquet room, and at night state-of-the-art lighting lets you fine-tune the mood. If you’d like an elegant look, add specialty linens, covered chairs and sparkling crystal (the player grand piano on site is another sophisticated touch). For a party atmosphere, Bayside can transform the place with fun d écor and colorful uplighting.

The large, cushioned, hardwood dance floor is especially appreciated at weddings: its central location lets you and your new spouse see and be seen, whether you’re swaying to the music or cutting the cake. Speakers are strategically placed so that partygoers can listen to personalized music or your DJ’s picks on a state-of-the-art sound system, and a retractable LCD screen allows for visual displays such as still photos or DVDs while your guests dine and mingle. At one end of the room, a long, eye-catching bar is a great place to chat over drinks. An adjoining patio that overlooks the grounds gives everyone a chance to step outside for a little quiet conversation and fresh air. Tables can also be set up here for al fresco dining.

Intimate ceremonies are sometimes held on the patio as well, but most couples getting married at Bayside Pavilion do so inside, or in a white tent on the adjacent lawn. A variety of churches and other places of worship are within a short drive.

Bayside Pavilion staff will work with you to design your event, whether it’s the wedding of your dreams, a corporate Christmas bash or a team-building seminar. They’ll help you choose a caterer from their select list, match you up with other preferred vendors, and make sure that everything runs smoothly.

CEREMONY CAPACITY: The site holds 50–300 seated guests.

EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: This location accommodates up to 350 seated with dance floor or 500 standing guests indoors. Outdoors, Bayside accommodates up to 60 seated or 150 standing guests.

MEETING CAPACITY: Meetings may be held for up to 450 guests seated theater-style.

Fees & Deposits

50% of the rental fee is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 30 days prior to the event. Rental fees range $500–5,000 depending on the date of the event.
