Description

With its clean-lined Spanish Mediterranean style and desert landscaping, it could be a villa along Spain’s Costa del Sol or in Palm Springs. Instead, it’s set in upscale Anaheim Hills, a city of rolling knolls, pastoral vistas and cool valleys in the bosom of central Orange County. Re-opened in 2004, the 30,000-square-foot Clubhouse at Anaheim Hills Golf Course is a relative newcomer on the wedding venue scene. But it’s already a winner for brides seeking casual elegance in a contemporary setting.

Although built on city property, the facility is independently run, and staffed by full-service wedding and special event coordinators. They’ll assist you with everything from favors, linens and place cards to a wedding cake and décor—all in keeping with the style and colors of your celebration. The Clubhouse also offers a long list of referrals for DJs, musicians, florists, photographers, videographers and even officiants, and the onsite coordinators are happy to help guide you in your selections.

Getting ready on the big day is a breeze, thanks to a spacious bridal dressing room with a quartet of mirrors and a private restroom. While you prepare to make your entrance, guests step through the arched entryway of the Clubhouse into a gracious lobby with a high, beamed ceiling. Another set of arched double doors leads to the North Terrace, an expansive patio where umbrella-shaded tables and portable cocktail bars can be set up for your party.

Outdoor ceremonies are also held on the patio, which overlooks the course’s rolling fairways, punctuated with stands of oaks and sycamores. A pair of columns provides a focal point, while a multi-tiered fountain adds Mediterranean flair to the setting. Before or after saying your vows, you can opt to take photos in a sheltered enclave of the course, shaded by tall greenery—your ivory gown will be beautifully highlighted against the emerald lawn.

The Grand Ballroom is an impressive space for a large wedding ceremony, reception or corporate affair. A high, coffered ceiling, ironwork chandeliers, tied-back draperies, and a Byzantine-motif carpet set an elegant tone. Light flows in through a wall of floor-to-ceiling arched windows, which also afford panoramic views of the golf course.

Out-of-town guests staying at the nearby Ayres Suites and Residence Inn by Marriott will appreciate the shuttle service to The Clubhouse. Getting to your wedding couldn’t be more convenient, and on the following day they can use the service again—this time to attend a lavish farewell brunch, featuring delicacies from around the world and live jazz. Who could resist another opportunity to celebrate in style?

Fees & Deposits

A deposit is required to reserve your date. 50% of the estimated event total is due 90 days prior to the event, the balance is due 7 days prior. Rental fees range $0–10,000 depending on the time of the event and the space rented Meals range $49.50–111.95/person. Tax, alcohol and a 19% service charge are additional.
