Why You'll Love This Place

A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue Review
  • Unforgettable, elegant, and one-of-a-kind: weddings at this iconic Chicago museum are truly once-in-a-lifetime. Built entirely of Georgia marble, the grand exterior is lined with magnificent Greek ionic columns; inside, you'll find an incredibly diverse collection of event spaces, ranging from the intimate Rice Gallery, lined with dramatic dioramas of the Serengeti, to the sleek East Atrium and Pavilion with its dazzling glass ceiling.
  • Encompassing nearly a half-acre, Stanley Field Hall makes a striking impression, combining elegant Neoclassical design with natural history. Here, the soaring, vaulted ceilings are draped with flying pterosaurs, light floods through intricately crafted skylights onto the fossil-filled marble floors, and you can dine beside the city's (literally) biggest attraction: Máximo the Titanosaur. Customize the space by letting the party flow onto the second floor balcony, or out onto the adjacent terraces.
  • The North and South Terraces showcase spectacular views of the Loop, the lush campus grounds, and the sparkling waters of Lake Michigan. These al fresco venues are especially magical for golden hour ceremonies and sunset cocktail hours, when the magnificent vistas are cast in buttery light and the breeze gently wafts off the water as you mingle over specialty cocktails that have been custom-crafted for your nuptials. Thoughtfully curated, all-inclusive packages feature locally-sourced catering partners, eco-friendly bar options, and native floral arrangements, making the planning process seamless while supporting the non-profit's focus on sustainability.
