Why You'll Love This Place

A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue Review

One look is worth a thousand words, so if you're planning a wedding or special event in Los Angeles you definitely want to check out this stylish, 51st-floor venue that delivers jaw-dropping views of the city and coastline.

After 25 years on Bunker Hill and a multimillion-dollar reinvention, the City Club Los Angeles has relocated to the Gold LEED Certified City National Plaza Tower situated in the heart of L.A.'s thriving central business district. Your guests will love exploring this area, which is home to the fabulous Staples Center and the L.A. Live entertainment complex with its glamorous theaters, restaurants, and hotels.

Step into the City Club itself and you enter a world of privacy and exclusivity—one where all of the spaces reflect a unique interpretation of Los Angeles' diverse districts. Elevators whisk guests up to the dramatic lobby, whose chic furnishings, art, and 3-D jewel-toned wall convey the spirit of the Jewelry District.

The spectacular Angeles Ballroom is truly a room with a view: 280 degrees of top-of-the-world vistas through its floor-to-ceiling windows. Chandeliers that look like delicate clusters of stars drop from the beautiful white, coffered ceiling. The room's brilliant mélange of posh and trendsetting touches, no doubt inspired by the nearby Fashion District, includes luxurious champagne and icy-blue colorations, as well as striking wall and carpet designs whose intersecting lines and angles suggest the freeway system that crisscrosses L.A.

If you use the entire ballroom, its vast dimensions make it ideal for ultra-grand functions with multiple bars, stages, dining areas and dance floors, but it also breaks into three more intimate chambers, each overlooking the tower's picturesque surround. The Santa Monica Room, Harbor Room, and Hollywood Ballroom can be used individually or in combination to create varying environments for your function. You might start by exchanging vows in the Harbor Room with its Pacific or sunset views, and then progress to the Hollywood Ballroom and Santa Monica Room for cocktails and/or dining enhanced by the gorgeous nighttime cityscape glittering all around you.

If you're planning a weekend extravaganza, there are additional entertainment areas you can add to the mix. The club's vibrant Anytime Lounge, outfitted with "spotlight" chandeliers, a bar top that resembles a grand piano, and a lush red wall framing a giant TV screen, brings to mind the Theater District. In the Private Dining Room, which looks out on the Hollywood sign, walls "blooming" with faux orchids evoke the Flower District. Even the hallway leading to the lounge showcases art from the private collections of L.A. residents—a nod to the city's Art Walk.

And don't forget, City Club Los Angeles has 25 years of experience in superior service and fine dining. You can sample your proposed menu's mouthwatering selections at a private tasting.

What more can you ask for? Oh, yes, a great time before, during, and after your party! Whether you and your guests are locals or out-of-towners, we guarantee you'll find plenty of terrific places to stay and loads of fun things to do in this club's one-of-a-kind setting.
