Why You'll Love This Place
A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue ReviewRead More Show Less
Once you've seen Castle Green it's impossible to forget it. This one-of-a-kind landmark, which was built in 1898 during the Victorian era, has been faithfully restored in every detail and is now a Nationally Registered Historic Monument and Officially Designated Pasadena Treasure. And since they only host one event per day, when you have your wedding here you'll enjoy exclusive access to this unique venue.
The Castle's stunning Moorish Colonial style showcases a mixture of European and Middle Eastern architectural elements, such as wrought-iron balconies and towers capped with red domes. Its extensive grounds are equally impressive and include a koi pond, arched walkways and verandas, magnificent trees, and expansive lawns for outdoor ceremonies and lawn games.
Interior spaces are appointed with original antiques and plush velvet drapes—décor that evokes a bygone, more gracious time. The ground floor is a fabulous setting for an event, starting in the Lobby with its grand marble staircase and crystal chandelier. The Salon and several beautiful smaller rooms are available for your cocktail reception, followed by dinner and dancing in the Ballroom. Verandas and lawns provide opportunities for guests to mingle and relax throughout your big day. Needless to say, you and your photographer will find plenty of wonderful photo ops indoors and out.
When you book the Castle, you're not only reserving a gorgeous venue, you're also getting the benefit of an experienced team that can create a stress-free, joyful experience for you. They specialize in helping couples planning long-distance weddings, as well as those doing short-term planning (wanting to get married in a few months!). The Castle's flexibility extends to weddings with special ethnic or cultural culinary needs, too: One of their preferred caterers has a restaurant partnership, making it possible to serve any type of food. Plus, there's no food & beverage minimum and you can bring your own alcohol with no corkage fee.
While weddings are extremely popular here, Castle Green is also an intriguing venue for many other types of events: corporate galas, holiday parties, and fundraisers to name a few. This historic gem will captivate you with both its visual delights and personalized service, so arrange for a tour—you'll quickly see why it's one of Pasadena's favorite places to celebrate.
