Why You'll Love This Place

A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue Review

Tucked in the northeast corner of Orange County, the town of Brea is an attractive option for out-of-town visitors: It's just a quick jaunt from both LAX and John Wayne airports, and offers easy access to beaches, shopping, entertainment, and amusement parks. Brea Community Center is the jewel of this close-knit community—beautiful, affordable, and convenient, it checks all of the most essential boxes. And once you add in the kind and conscientious staff, you've got a party-planning combo that's tough to beat.

The Arts Garden plays host to lovely outdoor ceremonies, and it's absolutely fantastic. Completely secluded from public access, it's got a private, "secret garden" feel, with winding pathways, lush landscaping, and an elevated gazebo topped with graceful shade sails. Following your vows, you'll move to your cocktail hour into the bright, cheerful Art Studio, where a wall of windows overlooks the Garden and fills the room with natural light.

While you're toasting the occasion and mingling with your guests, the Community Center's staff will be transforming the Arts Garden into an open-air celebration space, where you can dine and dance beneath twinkling market lights in your own urban oasis. Don't forget to snap a photo (or three, or four) in front of the gorgeous vine wall—it's totally unique and definitely share-worthy.

Indoor weddings are held in the Community Hall, which boasts blonde hardwood flooring, cool, modern light fixtures hung from the recessed ceiling, and a wall of glass doors that open onto a private landscaped patio. The room can be divided into smaller sections to accommodate intimate events, and the spacious, terraced prefunction area is a wonderful spot for welcome cocktails. You'll also find all the necessary event essentials, including a large catering kitchen, free WiFi, and state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment.

Expecting to have little ones in attendance? You can make this an extra-special day for them, too! Just a few doors down from the Community Hall is the KidWatch Room, a wonderful childcare area stocked with toys, games, kid-friendly DVDs, and an outdoor playground. If you opt to take advantage of this awesome perk, your rental contract will include trained, caring staff for the duration of your event. The teens on your guest list won't be left out either—set them up in The Zone, a super-cool, supervised spot decked out with board games, five web-accessible PCs, a pool table, an enclosed outdoor patio, and a big-screen TV hooked up to three different video game systems. Wow—a place that makes both parents and kids happy? Score!
