Why You'll Love This Place
A Here Comes The Guide Wedding Venue Review
Read More Show Less- Located right at the edge of the Trent River in historic New Bern, this impressive "palace" is a loving recreation of North Carolina's original Georgian-style capitol mansion as it looked when Governor William Tryon and his family first walked its stately halls.
- The north and south lawns offer the Palace as a backdrop for your ceremony or outdoor reception, the quaint Commission House is just right for intimate weddings, and several formal gardens provide both celebration spaces and spots for some quiet reflection in your first moments as a married couple.
- You can arrange a surprise visit from Governor and Mrs. Tryon themselves, courtesy of historical interpreters in period clothing who will regale your guests with local history and tales of the mansion's heyday. (And pose for some unforgettable photos, of course!)
