“Our guests raved about how fun our wedding was and some even said it was the best wedding they’ve been to. A huge part of it was the music that kept people on the dance floor all night. Once it hit midnight our guests wanted to keep partying!”

David worked tirelessly to make our dreams a reality. He flawlessly incorporated everything that we asked for and was extremely helpful in giving suggestions.”

“David was a great MC. He was very eloquent in his delivery. I would give them the highest possible ratings since our special day went as perfect as realistically possible.”

“Our audience members were a mix of young and older generations, and Latino and Filipino families. They played all the songs I requested and when I asked the DJ to pick any songs he felt my audience would enjoy, he did so, and everyone had a great time.”

“Everyone seemed to have had an amazing time and the dance floor was packed throughout the night. The energy and vibe was very positive and David played everything we requested.”

“Sound Wave Mobile DJ also provides lighting. I had a very specific pattern that I wanted which he didn’t have, and he went above and beyond to find the exact pattern. The lighting was gorgeous and really brought the room together.”

“David worked with my husband thoroughly on the music selection and was very flexible with my husband’s vision to incorporate his own song to surprise me on our wedding day.”

“He has a convenient online planning tool where you can fill out your day-of timeline, choose songs, and provide any other pertinent information that will help with the flow of the day.”

“He really connected with the crowd and we got a lot of positive feedbacks from our guests.”

“Our main objective was to have a fun time and David knew how to read the crowd to optimize the fun vibe.”

What 3 words best describe your work?
Fun. Elegant. In-tune.
Why should someone hire you?
I listen. My goal is to deliver your wedding your way while adding my expertise. My knowledge in music is extensive; I love challenges and new ideas.
What are the common misconceptions about your services?
That DJs are all the same! We all come from different backgrounds and experiences. A great, specialty wedding DJ will have experience not only in music, but in handling different situations, and most of all, delivering the vision you have for your wedding day.
What drew you to this field/how did you get started?
I come from a family of DJs and musicians. I also married into a family of musicians. Music has been a great part of my life, and doing weddings has always been exciting to me since each wedding is different and every musical taste is different.
Tell us about a favorite, unusual or very interesting moment at a wedding:
Most recently I had a couple that not only came from the east coast to get married in the Bay Area, but came from a very conservative culture; they guaranteed me that it would be a laidback event, no expectations of dancing. Needless to say, I had close to 270 of their guests dancing nonstop all night. Groom was quoted in his review saying "You proved me wrong, it was the greatest night of our lives."
What makes a wedding memorable for you?
Making every moment as captivating as possible, and getting that simple thank you or hug from the bride and groom. When I get emails from couples saying their guests still talking about how fun their wedding was. Simply being part of that special day is already an honor.
What is the best advice you give a couple when planning their wedding?
Communication is key, so make sure you explain your vision to your vendors. Most of all, make it fun. Wedding planning is supposed to be a fun experience! Let your vendors lend their expertise to make everything easier for you.
What are 3 words that describe your personality?
Fun. Go-getter. Honest.
What's your favorite quote?
"Without music, life would be a mistake." —Friedrich Nietzsche. Music is such an important part of our everyday life; it makes us happy, sometimes sad, makes us remember, but most of all: Happy.
What's your favorite marriage advice?
Being a married person myself, "Listen to each other. You're getting married to your best friend. Hug once a day, be spontaneous, forget the big things, the little things will matter much more."
Extracurricular activities:
Love music, drawing, hiking, making different things.
If you weren't in your current profession, what would you do instead?
Really this is a package of everything I wanted to do in life—from being able to use my voice, to music, to lighting and graphic design, it has all been a blessing.
What's your favorite way to wind down after a hard day?
Spending time with family, watching a great movie.
Tell us about your pets, if you have any.
Animal lover here: Taz (a teacup Chihuahua). 4 Birds: 2 Finches (Neco and Woody), 1 "Chico" a pineapple–green cheek conure (Well trained to give kisses and dance), and 1 Senegal Parrot "Chloe" who loves to be called pretty so she can dance.
What are some of your favorite places to eat—either everyday spots or special occasion splurges?
I love different foods: Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, Greek, Italian and Indian restaurants are the ones we frequent the most. (But mostly Chinese.)
