Why did you start Hey Hey Wedding Day?

Hey Hey Wedding Day was born out of a need to offer one cohesive Day-of Wedding Package to clients. At Jenni Grubba Events, we primarily focus on full planning and wanted to keep these separate a bit to make sure all clients were getting the attention they deserved!

What have weddings taught you?

As many of you have figured out, Hey Hey Wedding Day is the little sister to Jenni Grubba Events. I answer this question over there and I think it's important to repeat here. SO what have weddings taught me? Ironically, to slow down. I spend a great deal of the wedding day trying to keep everything moving and on time, but the most important thing I want my couples to take away from the day is the ability to remember it. I remind them to be present and take a few extra moments here and there to really soak it in. Being surrounded by so much love is a truly special thing, and it reminds me to be present and slow down once in a while in my own life.

What is the best advice you give a couple when planning their wedding?

If it's just not in the budget, or you don't want to hire someone to fully plan your wedding, please consider hiring someone to run the day-of. I say this for the sake of your sanity and for your ability to relax and enjoy your wedding day. <3

What's your favorite marriage advice?

This is a nice question. I just recently heard of the 20-second hug rule. If someone asks, even if you're in the middle of a huge disagreement, you must give the hug. According to an article, "A lingering embrace releases the bonding hormone oxytocin, which can lower your blood pressure, slow your heart rate and improve your mood." Sounds like a win win to me!

What's your favorite way to wind down after a hard day?

Erm... wine and Charles time!
