Why We Like This Place

  • The grounds are gorgeous. You’ll have no trouble capturing beautiful photos, since the estate is built on 60 acres of forest, meadows, gardens, and ponds. It’s also home to an exquisite red barn, a greenhouse, and the famous author’s historic stone house and cottage.
  • Receptions are held in the elegant Estate Pavilion, which can host up to 300 for dinner and dancing. This climate-controlled, customizable space features side walls with windows, and you can choose your own décor and lighting to create exactly the ambiance you envision.
  • A portion of your rental fee does good in the world. Because the estate helps support the nonprofit organization Pearl S. Buck International, some of your costs are considered a tax deductible donation, which the foundation uses to provide support and humanitarian aid to children throughout Asia.
