Why We Like This Place
Just walking into the lobby of this former Stock Exchange Tower, situated in the heart of the Financial District, gives you an inkling of what's to follow. One glance at the highly polished black-and-green marble floors, black-and-white marble walls and gold ceiling and you feel instantly surrounded by glamour.
Elevators whisk you up to the 10th floor, and the entrance to The City Club itself. Here, even the elevator doors—framed in bronze and decorated in silver, bronze and brass appliqué—offer an elegant example of this facility's attention to detail. The club (which occupies the 9th through 12th floors) features one of the most striking and exquisite Art Deco interiors we've seen, including a remarkable stairwell painted with an original 30-foot-high Diego Rivera fresco. Furnishings are original Art Deco pieces and appointments are generously clad in black marble, silver and brass. The ceiling is stunning, covered with burnished gold leaf squares. Sophisticated with just the right amount of glitz, this is an exceptional place for a wedding ceremony and/or reception, special event or corporate affair.

CEREMONY CAPACITY: The 10th floor (Cafe) can accommodate 220 seated or 300 standing guests; the 11th floor (Main Dining Room) 240 seated or 300 standing. The 9th Floor suites accommodate 120 seated or 150 standing, while the 12th Floor suites hold 100 seated or 120 standing.
EVENT/RECEPTION & MEETING CAPACITY: For receptions, the entire club (10th and 11th floors) may be reserved. The club holds 20–460 seated or up to 500 for a standing reception on two floors.

For special events, the facility fee for a 5-hour block of time ranges $1,500–5,000. Smaller spaces are available on the 9th and 12th floors for weeknight events, and prices vary accordingly. The food & beverage minimum ranges $10,000–25,000. Curfew is 2am and the overtime charge is $500/hour. On weeknights, Monday–Friday, the food & beverage minimum ranges $6,000–12,000. The minimum varies depending on the month and day of the event. Tax and a 23% service charge are additional. Member sponsorship and benefits are available.
