Why We Like This Place

There’s something timeless about the Monarch Beach Resort. Set on a hillside overlooking a pristine, private beach and the azure Pacific, as well as a verdant championship golf course, its location couldn’t be more captivating. And when you step inside the resort, you’ll find a haven of coastal luxury.

The Monarch Beach Resort is one of only a few properties in California to receive accolades like a listing on Travel & Leisure’s “500 Best Hotels in the World” and honors from Conde Nast Traveler as one of the top 50 U.S. resorts.

There are four outdoor ceremony sites, and all of them take full advantage of the beautiful surroundings. Three expansive lawns boast ocean or golf course views or both, and two of them feature a majestic staircase entrance. The Botanical Garden provides a more intimate ambiance with a romantic white stone gazebo and seasonal blooms.

Your reception options are equally enticing. The most opulent space is the 12,000-square-foot Pacific Ballroom. Bathed in natural light, it’s an inspired setting with fine architectural detailing and French doors that open onto an outdoor terrace. The Monarch Ballroom is highlighted by dazzling chandeliers, and comes with a separate entrance for added privacy. Smaller celebrations take place in Club 19 with its fireplace and expansive views of the Monarch Beach Golf Links, or in the Wine Cellar, where 17,000 bottles from around the world are housed amidst rich mahogany and custom iron furnishings. Al fresco receptions unfold on one of the hotel’s spacious lawns or on the Sunset Terrace, which overlooks the Grand Lawn, golf course and ocean beyond.

The Monarch Beach Resort’s culinary artists will customize your wedding cake and menu to reflect your tastes and style, and they’re happy to incorporate cherished family recipes to create a meaningful 5-star meal.

As you might expect of one of the world’s top resorts, the Monarch Beach Resort is much more than an event venue; it’s an extraordinary leisure experience that will tempt you and your guests to stay awhile. Book a poolside cabana, and relax by the infinity pool… Sunbathe on the private beach where beach butlers take care of you and the resort’s outdoor restaurant (exclusively for guests!) is just steps away on the sand… Then let yourself be pampered at the world-renowned Miraval Life in Balance Spa, which includes a Deborah Lippmann Nail Salon and a Drybar. Here you’ll enjoy cutting-edge training and signature spa treatments, plus a lap pool with underwater music, Jacuzzi whirlpool, steam room, sauna, Tranquility Lounge, and Spa Café serving a mindful menu.

However you spend your time, you’ll discover one thing for sure: The Monarch Beach Resort is the epitome flawless service, comfort, excellent cuisine and first-class amenities, making it a sensational destination for your wedding. It’s also the perfect choice for your honeymoon or extended getaway, too!
