Just create an account and add the handy bookmark to your browser, and anything that’s sold online can be added to one centralized wish list. No more managing a list at every website you love! Recently I attended a benefit concert by music legend Jackson Browne, and scored a pass to the VIP after-party. While downing a margarita (to help me get up the guts to introduce myself to the soulful songster himself!), I was discreetly pulled aside by a woman I didn’t know. Usually when something like this happens, it’s either because a) She wants me to know that I have lettuce in my teeth; b) She wants me to know I have toilet paper stuck to my shoe; c) She wants to know if my husband has a brother who is single.

If the wedding is all about her, the marriage proposal is all about him. Typically, the guy’s in charge of this monumental moment, and I think that’s why we cut our men so much slack when they don’t lose sleep over the wedding details. In my humble opinion, the proposal is way more romantic than the actual wedding.

Did you all see Oprah the other day? She featured some great YouTube videos, one of which was a clip of a British couple’s first dance at their wedding. Apparently, they are both huge fans of Dirty Dancing, the 80’s classic dance movie. They performed Baby and Johnny’s famous dance, almost move for move. Wow, how many of you could convince your fiance to do this?

In case no one knew this, we at Here Comes The Guide love ourselves some fine food. We probably tasted everything about…I’ll say 3 times so we don’t sound as ravenous as we really were. We also had the pleasure of telling Paula how beautiful and delicious everything was in person! I must say she looked just as stunning as ever.

It must nice to be a fashion icon. As Sex and the City’s fictional wedding coordinator definitively told an engaged Charlotte: “I have just 2 words for you—Vera Wang.”
