MyFox LA just came out with their latest Hot List. Readers voted, and we’re pleased to announce that many of the wedding venues and event professionals that made the list are featured on our site, too.

Wedding photographer Lauren Cohn-Frankel has had quite a summer. In addition to being officially Certified By The Guide, she’s recently been nominated for SF Chronicle’s Best of the Bay and had her gorgeous photos featured on East Bay Express’ Wedding Wednesdays, KRON 4’s gay marriage special, HBO Family, and Today’s Bride. Busy girl!

One of the best parts of my job is managing all the reference checks for the wedding professionals who want to be Certified By The Guide. I’ll admit it’s fun putting them through their paces, talking to countless industry folks and tons of brides for each company. Some don’t make the cut, but those who do are absolutely fantastic!

I coordinated a wedding at Viansa Winery in May 2008 for my friends Lucy & Ross McClennan that turned out to be a really gorgeous event. I think the photos (by the super-talented Catherine Hall of Catherine Hall Studios) say it all. Click here to view their slideshow and be inspired.

Rosemarie Lion is moving to a workspace that’s almost as cool as her photography. SoCo Depot, an old train depot in Sonoma County, is now a shared workspace for creative individuals. With that kind of billing, we can’t think of a better place for Rosemarie’s inspired work.

I’ve noticed very few videographers at the weddings I’ve attended in the past year. In these uncertain times, I’m sure every couple wants to save a little money, but I have to say this trend still surprises me.

In case no one knew this, we at Here Comes The Guide love ourselves some fine food. We probably tasted everything about…I’ll say 3 times so we don’t sound as ravenous as we really were. We also had the pleasure of telling Paula how beautiful and delicious everything was in person! I must say she looked just as stunning as ever.

Northern California photographer Jennifer Baccioco’s latest triumph is the cover of our upcoming Southern California edition of Here Comes The Guide. Her romantic, photo-journalistic style is perfect for our baby blue and chocolate brown design, due to hit the shelves by January 1, 2008!
