FEATURED CHEF:
Soerke Peters, Ca’ Del Sole Ristorante
In his home kitchen, the European born and trained Soerke Peters experiments with a variety of global cuisines; but he particularly loves the simplicity and spontaneity of Italian food. Before becoming Executive Chef at Ca’ del Sole Ristorante in North Hollywood, California, Chef Peters worked in Michelin-starred restaurants and was a frequent guest on Food Network TV; yet it was cooking alongside his grandmother as a child that inspired him to master the culinary arts.
Today, Chef Peters celebrates his passion for fresh, flavorful Tuscan fare by creating imaginative yet relatable dishes for restaurant patrons and Ca’ del Sole’s special event guests. Count us among his fans.

Simply. Good. Food.
After a few days of long meetings, the ladies of Here Comes The Guide refueled and toasted a job well done with a delectable dinner at Cantinetta Luca, a sister venue of L’Auberge Carmel. We never cease to be amazed at the innovation in modern food trends. The latest example comes from event planner Sabrina Di Nardo in fashion-forward Montreal: dessert sushi. My inspiration came when I went to pick up the dessert I had ordered for the shower. While I was at the shop, it dawned on me that those 3 dozen delicious cupcakes from Icing on the Cupcake in Rocklin would make whimsical centerpieces for the party. This was also a budget-friendly idea, since my dessert was going to double as décor!
