The less adventurous flock here for shopping, beachcombing, spa treatments and, of course, wine tasting! If you’re planning a honeymoon or destination wedding in one of the area’s picturesque towns, you might think beyond the winery. From beach-chic to wine country rustic, we’ve discovered a delectable selection of wedding-friendly resorts, bed & breakfasts, restaurants and golf clubs. (Even if you do host your main event at a winery, you’ll also need a place for your rehearsal dinner, day-after brunch or wedding night, right?)

A neighboring pasture and newly built barn also hold party possibilities. A 2-unit cottage on the property welcomes overnight guests. Hunter Ranch Golf Course (Paso Robles) Smack in the middle of wine country, Hunter Ranch is all view, view, view! Hearty oak trees spice up the scenery, which includes acres of emerald fairways. Ceremonies are so pretty in the garden courtyard, beneath a vine-covered trellis. Or have a lakeside wedding right on the greens, surrounded by the photo-worthy landscape. A log cabin-style clubhouse, banquet center and heated veranda are other event options. With on-site catering and an experienced coordinator to help with the details, celebrations here are beautiful and a breeze.
