Why We Like This Place

  • It’s in the heart of downtown Tacoma. A cool little city with a rich history, Tacoma is often overlooked in favor of Seattle, which is just 40 minutes to the North. But the town is in the midst of a major revitalization, and The Museum of Glass, which looks out over the bustling Thea Foss Waterway, is its sleek, ultra-modern flagship.
  • You’ll have the coolest photos ever. The building itself features edgy architecture that practically begs to have its picture snapped. And the installations, like the breathtaking “Fluent Steps,” which seems to leap toward the sky from a tranquil reflecting pool, are guaranteed to provide a photographic backdrop like no other.
  • Your wedding guests get access to all public areas of the Museum. Your loved ones can circulate through the permanent exhibits, galleries, the theatre, and outdoor sculpture plazas. They may even catch a live glass-blowing demonstration in the “Hot Shop,” located inside the building’s iconic steel cone.
