Wondering about the name? Yes, it’s that Marriott. J. Willard Marriott, perhaps better known as the Marriott founder, was also an outdoorsman who purchased and restored the historic farm and ranch back in the 1950s.

The property, located just fifty miles west of Washington, D.C., is a 4,200-acre working cattle ranch with four distinct event venues and an expert catering team.

“At the tasting, we were given very generous portions and decided right then what we wanted to offer our guests. The food for the rehearsal dinner was delicious and very fresh; it was buffet style. Our dinner for the reception was plated and was delicious as well. We heard great things from many of our guests, specifically the cheese/fruit spread and passed appetizers at the cocktail hour. Our ceremony was outside in October so it was quite chilly—they offered our guests hot cider, which I thought was a really nice touch.”
