Why We Like This Place
You could say that Wilshire Loft was built from the ground up, except that the creative team behind it—as well as some of southern California’s most popular venues and high-profile events—actually started at the top. They painstakingly transformed the entire 7th floor of office space into this glam, expansive penthouse with a huge terrace and to-die-for views right in the heart of downtown.
A private elevator takes you up to a large, open entry filled with natural light from a wall of windows. Throughout the whole loft-like space, you’ll find a cool vibe generated by clean, modern lines paired with the best eye-catching elements of 70s décor. For example, the spacious Bridal Room sports boldly colored walls, faux fur chairs and sleek mirrored tables, while the chic Lounge embodies low-key elegance with its creamy tones, coved ceiling and glittery chandelier.
This seamless melding of different eras is nowhere more evident than on the fabulous terrace. As friends and family gather here for the ceremony, they’re surrounded by the vibrancy of Los Angeles with a birds-eye view of high-rises dating from the 60s to today. Vows are exchanged against a skyline that juxtaposes the glass-clad U.S Bank, California’s tallest building, right next to the low-slung, Art Deco L.A. Public Library. Now, if seeing two unique entities like these standing side by side in beautiful harmony isn’t a metaphor for a good marriage, we don’t know what is!
The celebration continues inside the bar, where you can still savor the city vistas through a wall of glass. Adorning the ceiling is an undulating, kinetic light fixture that runs nearly the length of the room and seems more like a work of art than a chandelier. Not to be outdone for visual artistry, the cocktails and appetizers are equally worthy of your attention. Highly acclaimed Truly Yours Catering has developed a wide variety of specialty libations and hors d’oeuvres that range from short rib quesadillas and ahi tuna sliders to mac n’cheese topped with broccoli and black truffles. Their dinner menu is even more extensive (actually over 20 pages long!) with new twists on old favorites and a focus on organic and locally sourced ingredients, plus Asian, Middle Eastern, Mexican, Vegetarian and Indian selections. Fortunately, they have a very knowledgeable culinary team that can help you plan your meal and personalize it.
The dining room layout is flexible, so you can choreograph your event to suit your needs. (If you’re hosting dinner for a more intimate group, you might even be able to arrange it on the terrace.) And if you thought the cityscape looked great at sunset, you’ll love the city lights at night—they’ll really make your wedding album pictures pop.

A nonrefundable deposit of the site fee is required to secure your date. The site fee ranges $2,750–4,750, depending on day of event. Meals start at $58/person, and the food & beverage minimum ranges $5,000–7,500. The total cost varies depending on the menu chosen, guest count, and type of dinner service selected.
All events are customized and include: linens, tables, Chiavari chairs, china, glassware, flatware, bar setup and breakdown, cooks, wait staff, event manager, security guards, all equipment, lighting, cake-cutting and clean-up, as well as tax and a service charge. Alcohol is additional and there’s no corkage fee if you bring your own.
