Why We Like This Place

Camarillo lies at the heart of Pleasant Valley, cradled by the richly forested Las Posas Mountains. With arguably the best weather in the country, it’s become one of the most desirable areas for living out the Southern California lifestyle. Wedgewood Sterling Hills perfectly reflects Camarillo’s congenial attitude and idyllic surroundings.

The country road up to Sterling Hills winds past strawberry fields and orange groves and, as you crest the first rise, the handsome Sterling Hills clubhouse suddenly makes its appearance. The building is a sleek example of Mediterranean chic, with a red-tile roof and a double-arched portico supported by classical columns. Crowning the circular driveway is a grand stone fountain flanked by young palm trees. The glass-and-mahogany front door opens into a dramatic vaulted rotunda. Sunlight peeks through lofty arched windows, and an elaborate wrought-iron chandelier suspended from the cupola adds a silken glow. Further on is the banquet room and lounge, distinguished by an air of attractive refinement and an open floor plan. A working fireplace keeps things cozy, while a long row of windows treats guests to a vision of the emerald fairways and picturesque countryside.

The outdoor wedding site is lovely, with the bridal couple silhouetted against the gently rolling greens of Sterling Hills Golf Course. As the pink gauze of sunset veils the horizon, feathery clouds hover over the slopes along the valley’s eastern edge, completing the romantic picture.

Cocktails are poured at the mahogany bar in the lounge, but guests usually wander outside to enjoy the central fountain terrace, set with the hors d’oeuvres display. A delicious dinner is served back in the banquet room and, as the evening progresses, guests spill out onto the south terrace facing the ninth hole. Here, lanky marsh grass and a thicket of reeds surround a small pond, from which a chorus of frogs often serenades the guests. For more traditional entertainment, place your band and dance floor on the south terrace and sway cheek-to-cheek under the stars.

Fees & Deposits

25% of the estimated event total is required to reserve your date. Another 25% is due 120 days prior to the event, and final payment is payable 10 days prior, along with the final guest count. Meals range $25–40/person. Wedding packages start at $40/person. Tax, alcohol and a 21–22% service charge are additional. Customized packages are also available.
