Why We Like This Place

Although contemporary in construction, Wedgewood Upland Hills conveys a more Old World character. With its high hipped roof, veranda, and series of brick columns and French doors, the banquet center’s architecture echoes the aesthetic of fin-de-siècle colonial buildings found in the West Indies. Indeed, as you lean out over the upstairs terrace, mint julep in hand, the air is so balmy and the fairways so green that visions of Martinique or Antigua come to mind. As you might imagine, this pretty and perennially lush landscape is an appealing backdrop for weddings and receptions.

Ceremonies are held in a white, old-fashioned wedding gazebo, a short distance from the clubhouse. Skirted by red roses and framed by the slate blue silhouette of the San Gabriel Mountains in the distance, it’s a lovely, poetic setting. To further the romantic atmosphere, some brides arrive via horse and carriage; others add drama by making a slow entrance on a gently winding path that has been trimmed into the grass.

For a post-ceremony photo safari, newlyweds and their photographer are welcome to take a golf cart out for a spin on the adjacent golf course. Meanwhile guests can enjoy cocktails and happily hobnob on the clubhouse patio.

Small to mid-size receptions are hosted in the Fountain View Room, which spans the length of the clubhouse’s upper level. Bordered by windows and five sets of French doors, this radiant, light-filled space features a glorious vista of the fairways and fountains below.

For an up-close and personal view of the golf course, have your soirée out on the Terrace, really a wraparound covered veranda. Here guests will appreciate the sound of palms rustling in the breeze, and the scent of pines and freshly mowed grass.

Larger gatherings are held in the newly constructed Mountain View Room, a free-standing 4,000-square-foot pavilion with a full wall of floor to ceiling windows that capture sweeping views.  Highlights of this versatile space include a private bar, spacious dance floor and beautifully draped ceiling.

The venue’s easy, breezy ambiance is made even more so thanks to Wedgewood’s event professionals. Their all-inclusive and reasonably priced wedding packages are customizable, giving you the choice of leaving everything up to them or selecting which services you’d like to take on yourself. Either way, you’ll be in experienced hands so you can enjoy your celebration to the fullest.

CEREMONY CAPACITY: The Garden Gazebo Area can accommodate 250 seated or standing. The Event Tent will hold up to 250 guests.

EVENT/RECEPTION & MEETING CAPACITY: The facility holds 250 seated or standing guests indoors.

Fees & Deposits

25% of the total event cost is required to reserve your date. Another 25% is due 120 days prior to the event, and the final payment along with the final guest count is due 10 days prior. Meals range $25–40/person. All-inclusive wedding packages start at $30/person. Tax, alcohol and a 21–22% service charge are additional.

For weekday business meetings, the rental fee varies based on selected services. A business meeting package runs $22/person, and includes continental breakfast, morning coffee, deli luncheon and room rental.
