Wedgewood at The Retreat is a true beauty inside and out. From its enviable location at the top of a hill within a gated community and semiprivate golf and country club, this popular Inland Empire wedding venue does indeed provide a quiet retreat with sweeping views, cooling breezes and a sprawling Tuscan-inspired clubhouse.
The sun-drenched building has covered breezeways along the front, and a fountain courtyard planted with roses and fluttery palm trees. From the courtyard, double doors open to the clubhouse’s grand entry, a high-ceilinged “great room” with wood-and-iron crossbeams, a stone fireplace, and casually elegant leather and velvet furnishings. During the evening, this area is available for your guests to sign in and mingle before your event.
Vows are exchanged on the manicured ceremony lawn out back, where friends and family can savor the unobstructed view of the Temescal Valley while awaiting your arrival. You make your grand entrance from a shaded side patio, heading toward the archway at the far edge of the lawn. Since you’ll be facing east, if you time it right you’ll get to tie the knot during the “magic hour,” just as the setting sun casts a romantic pink glow on the mountains in the distance.
While there’s more than enough room to have cocktails right here on the lawn, the entire back of the clubhouse—with its flagstone patios—is yours to enjoy for drinks, dinner, and even dancing. Half shaded, half sunny, and decorated with olive trees in large terracotta pots, these expansive patios overlook terraced gardens filled with roses and geraniums, as well as the tree-studded hills beyond. Richly scrolled gold chandelier pendant lights hang from the eaves above the patios, adding a touch of glamour (as well as the flavor of a private Italian villa).
Then, as evening descends, your guests can drift over to the outdoor fireplace, ringed with comfy seating for intimate conversations. Or, you can take the party inside to the dining room, transformed for dancing with your DJ or band setup by the arched glass doorway or in front of the large stone fireplace. (By the way, this area makes an excellent weather-contingency ceremony site.) Just beyond the dining room is a handsomely detailed bar, complete with marble fireplace, soft leather chairs, dark wood and a high, coffered ceiling, where friends and family can cap the evening with a final toast.
In addition, there’s an intimate, tucked-away dining room for small gatherings or rehearsal dinners and a glass-enclosed banquet area that offers a climate-controlled, indoor/outdoor event space for year-round celebrations.
Since events are held away from the golf course, there are no distractions and plenty of private areas for photo opportunities, including a great spot to take a bird’s-eye group shot of your entire wedding party.

25% of the estimated total event cost is required to reserve your date. An additonal 25% is due 120 days prior to the event and the balance (based on your final guest count) is due 10 days prior. All payments are credited towards your final balance and are nonrefundable and nontransferable. All-inclusive, completely customizable wedding packages start at $45/person. Tax, alcohol and a 21–22% service charge are additional.
