Nestled in the rolling hills of Thousand Oaks, Sunset Hills Country Club is just outside Los Angeles but feels like it’s worlds away. The club is spread over 85 lush acres, whose gently rolling hills are dotted with majestic oaks, mature elms, and a wealth of other trees. In addition to a clubhouse and golf shop, the property features an 18-hole golf course and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.
Situated on three separate levels with interconnecting stairways, the two clubhouse buildings and Pro Shop are arranged in a horseshoe around the sparkling pool. With their arched façades and red-tile roofs, these one-story stuccos reflect a contemporary melding of California and Spanish architecture.
Sunset Hills welcomes events of all kinds—weddings, birthday parties, and golf tournaments to name a few. If marriage is on your mind, two sites are available for ceremonies. For a big wedding, the best place to tie the knot is in a flat green valley surrounded by stately oaks that affords ample room for theater-style seating. More intimate ceremonies take place at the crest of a little hill beneath overarching alder branches.
After saying “I do” outdoors, bring your festivities inside the Sunset Hills Ballroom, located on the clubhouse’s upper level. This spacious, L-shaped venue comes with a parquet dance floor and features an arching, adobe-style brick fireplace. Wrought-iron chandeliers and sconces illuminate earth-tone walls adorned with Tuscan-style artwork, imparting a tasteful elegance. If your event calls for more space, a movable wall rolls easily aside, allowing the ballroom and the lounge to combine into a single large room overlooking the patio and pool.
Sunset Hills offers a variety of wedding packages, all of which can be customized. Their executive chef is happy to personalize your menu, and the on-site coordinator and catering manager will work with you and/or your wedding planner to choreograph your affair from start to finish.

A nonrefundable deposit, which is applied to your food and beverage total, is required to reserve your date. The amount of the deposit varies, depending on how far in advance you book. Payment terms for the balance also vary, and may be arranged on an individual basis. Luncheons start at $15/person, dinners at $25/person. Tax, alcohol and service charge are additional.
