Why We Like This Place

You don’t recall booking any deluxe trips to Tuscany, but suddenly you find yourself surrounded by magnificent Italianate splendor, in a palatial resort looking out on what could be the Mediterranean coast. The calming sound of water tumbling onto itself is everywhere, cascading from multitiered fountains into gem-like pools. You’ll be the belle of the hotel ball when you tie the knot under a stately colonnade on the Grand Lawn, fringed by majestic palms that filter views of world-class links and the ocean beyond. More private ceremonies are held on the Pacific Lawn or in the intimate Botanical Garden, the latter an explosion of seasonal color studded with whimsical statuary.

The resort’s most opulent reception site is the 12,000-square-foot Pacific Ballroom, an inspired setting with fine architectural detailing, dazzling chandeliers and French doors opening onto an outdoor terrace. The Monarch Ballroom, capped by a lower coffered ceiling, features a separate entrance for more private affairs. Other indoor options include Club 19, offering expansive views of the Monarch Beach Golf Links, and the Wine Cellar, where 17,000 bottles from around the world are housed amidst rich mahogany and custom iron furnishings. Al fresco receptions are held on either of the hotel’s spacious lawns or on the Sunset Terrace, which overlooks the Grand Lawn, golf course and ocean beyond.

Fees & Deposits

35% of the estimated event total is required to reserve your date. A second deposit of 65% is due 120 days prior and the final balance is due 2 weeks prior to the event. Rental fees range $2,500–5,000 depending on the date of the event and space rented. Daytime packages range $85–150/person and evening packages range $180–275/person. Tax and a 22% service charge are additional.
