Why We Like This Place

The sky’s the limit at Skylinks Golf Course when it comes to satisfying every wish, dream and special request for your wedding. You want doves released after the ceremony? No problem. Tents set up outside? No problem. Feel like having your ceremony on the fairway itself? Consider it done! In fact, it’s hard to find a more accommodating staff than the one at Long Beach’s premier public golf course.

While you’re thinking up ways to let your creativity run wild, you’ll be pleased to know that an extensive renovation completely remodeled and updated every area, from the clubhouse and banquet room to the golf course itself.

Their new ceremony site is a thing of beauty. Couples say “I do” beneath a white, trellised arch against a striking backdrop: a freeform rock waterfall and cascading pools, surrounded by a lush landscape of palm trees, flowering bushes and other greenery. While vows are exchanged, guests look on from their lawn seating, arranged in rows on either side of a petal-strewn aisle.

As we mentioned, it’s also possible to get married right on the golf course. Just before the ceremony, the bridal party is transported via golf carts to an area on the first fairway next to a lovely lake, where seating and any decorative elements have been set up. After the ceremony, a caravan of golf carts will take the bridal party back to the clubhouse for dinner.

No matter where you tie the knot, the reception is held in the expansive Sky Room, whose vaulted ceiling makes it feel even more spacious. A wall of windows overlooks the property’s signature waterfall, which is dramatically lit up at night. Just outside the Sky Room, a comfortable patio is yours to enjoy as well, with the nearby greens and the glorious waterfall balancing nature and artistry.

However, if you happen to have a guest list of 300 or more and money is no object, consider hosting your festivities in a custom-designed tent on the driving range. In most cases, you can still have your ceremony in front of the gorgeous waterfall, just a few yards away. Tenting the grass is also popular for corporate parties and fundraisers.

CEREMONY CAPACITY: The fairways hold up to 400 seated guests. EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: The Sky Room accommodates up to 200 seated guests. Outdoors the site holds 500 seated. MEETING CAPACITY: Several spaces seat up to 200 guests.

Fees & Deposits

A nonrefundable deposit, which is applied to your food and beverage total, is required to reserve your date. The amount of the deposit is equal to 25% of the estimated event total. 50% is due 6 months prior, and 100% of the final estimated balance is due 10 days prior to the event date. Rental fees start at $500 and vary depending on the day of the event and guest count. Meals range $15–65/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional.
