Why We Like This Place

Located within easy walking distance of Disney’s Magic Kingdom, the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort creates a bit of magic itself with a dazzling array of event spaces to suit virtually every bride’s fairytale dreams. Having recently undergone a $50 million renovation, this bustling hotel offers sophisticated elegance in its ballrooms, yet maintains a “family friendly” atmosphere that is sure to please out-of-town guests.

The hotel consists of several buildings laid out resort-style around a landscaped pool. The Tiffany Terrace, an utterly charming, architecturally unique structure with a domed roof, occupies a prime spot right near the pool. This jewel of a wedding locale has an adjoining freeform outdoor space, the Tiffany Terrace Patio, from which your friends and family can take in the soothing sounds of a gurgling fountain along with great views of the glass-clad elevators ascending the nearby guestroom tower. You can have your ceremony on the sun-dappled patio beneath the trees, or just enjoy cocktails al fresco before going inside for a very romantic dinner under an amazing arched canopy of stained glass. The homage to famed French designer Louis Tiffany continues with colorful stained-glass chandeliers, re-created in his distinctive art nouveau style. The entire front wall of this self-contained building is glass enhanced with wood-beam framing, which lends a wonderful, Parisian turn-of-the-century, “greenhouse in the park” atmosphere to your festivities.

Another indoor-outdoor option is the Garden Room, featuring crystal chandeliers that descend like inverted pyramids and tall windows that look out onto the room’s own patio. This flagstone ceremony/cocktail area is covered with a striped awning and surrounded by a lawn bordered by palm trees for privacy.

If you have something more traditional in mind, there are several luxuriously appointed ballrooms in the main building. Enter the double glass doors to a grand lobby with cream-colored marble floors. To the right is a large and very comfortable earth-toned lounge; to your left is the Palm Ballroom, adorned with crystal chandeliers hanging from the coffered ceiling and thick carpeting in deep blues and gold. Further down the hall are two other ballrooms, both opening up to the El Prado Foyer, a prefunction space for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Distinctively decorated with rich leather-textured walls and artistic, bird-of-paradise prints, it provides a lovely view to a small outdoor rotunda and lawn. When you’re ready for dinner and dancing, you can opt for either the Park or Plaza Ballroom. Both have grand proportions, high ceilings and dramatic crystal chandeliers, and each can be divided into smaller, more intimate spaces if desired.

This full-service resort even has fun choices for a rehearsal dinner or bachelor/bachelorette party: The Overland Stage Restaurant and Territorial Saloon evoke the Old West through vintage photos, a Southwest Indian flair and cool tin ceilings. With all it has to offer, the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort is something of a magic kingdom in its own right.

Fees & Deposits

A $1,000 deposit is required to reserve your date. An additional advance deposit is due 90 days prior to the event and the balance is due 14 days prior. Rental fees range $500–12,000 depending on the time of the event, the space rented and your food and beverage minimum. Meals range $37–70/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional.
