Why We Like This Place
If you live in Southern California, you’ve probably passed the Tudor-style Sheraton Anaheim hundreds of times as you’ve made your way north or south along the I-5 Freeway. And if you stopped to check out the hotel, there’s a good chance you were impressed by its stylish porte-cochère entryway, majestic fireplace, and charming outdoor courtyards. But if you haven’t visited recently, you’ll be delighted by all the enhancements at this centrally located landmark.
After passing through the attractive lobby to the Garden Court Bistro, you step across a footbridge stretching over a meandering stream rife with bright koi. Following the path of the water, you arrive at a picturesque outdoor koi pond surrounded by giant ferns, with a bubbling waterfall as a focal point. This is a lovely spot for photographs after you’ve tied the knot elsewhere on the grounds.
Adjacent to the pond is the Pond Courtyard, a manicured enclave where most couples exchange vows. Enclosed by the quaint façades of the hotel buildings, with their stone and brick turrets, and high and low pitched roofs, it’s a peaceful, private space with a permanent wood-shingled gazebo. And since the gazebo is located just off the bridal changing room, you won’t have far to venture after the last hair is put in place.
More intimate ceremonies are hosted in the Rose Garden, where you can say “I do” under a rustic archway entwined with rose vines and festooned with fragrant blooms. A two-tier fountain adds a romantic element to the setting.
All the reception rooms are accented with cream-colored damask stripes, crown molding, dome-shaped chandeliers and wall sconces. No matter which area you select, you can count on fine cuisine and flawless service overseen by the Banquet Director and Executive Chef, who’ve been with the hotel for more than 40 years combined.
Convenient to airports and attractions in both Los Angeles and Orange Counties, the Sheraton Anaheim caters to your out-of-town visitors’ comfort. It boasts the largest guestrooms in town (typically providing more than 500 square feet), all newly refurbished and outfitted with “Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Beds” and massive wood furnishings. And just so no one’s bored after your big event, the hotel offers complimentary transportation and multiple-day passes to neighboring Disneyland Theme Parks.
Oh yes, one more thing about being so close to the Magic Kingdom—if fireworks from the park happen to light up your celebration, no one need know they’re not intended for you!
