Why We Like This Place

Embraced by flowering shrubs and bougainvillea, Shadowridge Country Club’s hilltop ceremony site provides the sheltered privacy of a secret garden. Tall hedges hide the intimate spot, while sculptural boulders, trees and sweeping hillsides around the border serve as ideal backdrops for wedding photos and post-ceremony champagne toasts. A classic gazebo at the far end overlooks the Vista hills. You’re free to add more flowers, a rose-petal aisle, or lanterns—anything that helps make this garden your own.

Once vows are exchanged, bridal party and guests are shuttled in luxury buses to the Shadowridge clubhouse for the reception. Designed in Southern California’s familiar ranch style with a white stucco façade, brick-red roof, rustic wood accents and planters overflowing with sunny marigolds, the facility looks out onto an immaculate golf course. The banquet room, done in complementary shades of sage, warm oak and forest green, has wraparound picture windows that frame fairway views, bringing the verdant outdoors inside. Personalize the space any way you like, from decorations to the location of the portable dance floor. Right around the corner, the spacious bride’s room streamlines final preparations before and after the ceremony, whether you use it for bridal party hair and makeup or simply slipping in and out of your wedding dress.

Flexibility is Shadowridge’s specialty. Taking into consideration your passions, timeframes, guest list and budget, they’ll design a celebration tailored to your tastes. No matter which wedding package you select, the price is reasonable for all the bells and whistles included. Best of all, the Private Event Director is a Beverly Clark Certified Wedding Planner who works with you from the early stages of planning through the grand event, giving you the benefit of all her experience and expertise.

As with the Private Event Director, the Shadowridge staff is highly trained and gracious. Accomplished chefs are happy to customize your gourmet menu, which can feature entrées like Almond-Crusted Halibut, Char-Grilled Filet Mignon, and Chicken Fontina stuffed with Prosciutto. Take customization even further by opting for a buffet. One of the club’s most popular (and unique) choices is the Potato Martini Bar: Guests are free to decorate sundried tomato mash, garlic mash and roasted Yukon creamer potatoes with toppings like smoked cheddar, sautéed wild mushrooms and pancetta.

While Shadowridge also hosts other types of private events like Sweet 16 parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, and quinceañeras, it’s no surprise that weddings top the list. That flower-strewn, secret garden at the top of the hill is hard to resist.

Fees & Deposits

A $1,000 minimum deposit is required to reserve your date and the balance is due 5 days prior to the event. Rental fees range $0–1,000 depending on the day and time of the event, guest count and the space rented. Meals range $10–100/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional.
