Why We Like This Place

The Rincon Beach Club, located in the seaside community of Carpinteria just south of Santa Barbara, is bound to make you smile as soon as you arrive: the club resides on “Santa Claus Lane” amid a quaint row of colorful shops and cafés along a bluff above the Pacific Ocean. We’re pretty sure smiles will continue throughout your time at Rincon, a gracious, private setting with mountain vistas and an easy, coastal sophistication.

The Beach Club has two main event areas: the Dining Room, which exudes a quiet elegance; and the Wedding Garden, a leafy courtyard awash in sunlight during the late afternoon. Enclosed by dense green foliage, the garden is finished with grass-fringed flagstone. At one end, a wooden pergola laced with white roses tops an elevated deck, a pretty spot for ceremonies. A flowering shade tree leans in from one side as if listening closely, while the bridal party, dressed to impress, poses on the stairs. As the couple exchanges vows, loved ones watching from below are close enough to feel an intimate connection with the proceedings.

Guests enjoy the cocktail hour on the West Patio, which wraps around the exterior of the Dining Room. In one section, a mahogany bar, couches and chairs are a comfortable improvisation of an al fresco lounge; just around the corner, café tables form a cozy enclave next to a trickling fountain. As dusk descends, the sweet scent of star jasmine mingles with refreshing sea breezes, and antique-style heat lamps keep everyone toasty. Twinkle lights add their glow beneath a star-filled night sky.

For a formal reception, invite guests into the Dining Room, where French doors on two sides let in the garden view. The room’s clean, uncluttered palette is a refined backdrop for personalized décor. The Club has a collection of furniture, props and other accoutrements to create whatever atmosphere you envision. Unique banquet chairs with a faux-pewter finish and classy up-lighting enhance the aura of refinement, while a skylit foyer showcases the buffet.

At Rincon Beach Club, you get much more than a picturesque venue: Expert planning, event production and palate-pleasing cuisine are also part of the package. (The in-house wedding planner, Melissa Sylvester, was chosen “Best of SB” in the Independent’s 2009 Reader’s Poll!) This full-service approach is not only a time- and money-saver—it also results in a more cohesive expression of your vision. Rincon’s experienced professionals know how to craft a celebration that reflects your style and taste. This is especially evident when it comes to your menu, which they’ll customize from aperitif to dessert. If you want to honor your heritage, choose from among Rincon’s many global-inspired delicacies: blinis with caviar, Beef Copenhagen, Greek Mousaka…not even escargot intimidates these culinary artists! More contemporary dishes include favorites like Seared Ahi on Sugar Cane with Wasabi Cream Sauce or Apricot Spiced Ginger Chicken Wontons.

Fees & Deposits

A deposit is required to reserve your date. Deposits range $3,100–5,750 depending on the day of the week rented. 50% is due 4 months prior, and the balance is due 2 weeks prior to the event. Rental fees range $350–5,750 depending on the day of the week of the event. Meals range $41–75/person. Tax, gratuity and beverages are additional, but included in a complete estimate.
