Why We Like This Place

As you drive up the coast and into the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains, the road takes you to a little corner of paradise: the spectacular hilltop villa, ranch and vineyards of Rancho Sol Del Pacifico.

When you arrive and descend down the driveway, you’re treated to a stellar panoramic view: Just below is the lushly landscaped plateau where the private residence lies; on either side are rugged mountains, and in the distance the vast blue Pacific spreads all the way to the horizon.

The estate is enhanced by a dazzling array of water features and architectural focal points, all of which contribute to the aesthetics of your event. Water is everywhere—there’s an exquisite freeform pool, two fishponds, a 15-foot rock waterfall, and over a dozen fountains. The Mediterranean-style villa and grounds also include expansive patios and a loggia, an amphitheater, a sunken tennis court, and even a lighthouse with 360-degree mountain and ocean vistas. At night, lights embedded in trees throughout the property add sparkle. This is, quite simply, a dream setting for weddings.

Most ceremonies are held on the flagstone terrace at the back of the villa. The bride makes her grand entrance, passing the waterfall, fishponds and serene pool on her way. She meets her groom at the lawn where their guests are seated, and the couple exchanges vows against a gorgeous backdrop: untamed mountain terrain that flows down to the beach, with the waves crashing onto the sand and the ocean stretching beyond. Afterwards, the reception unfolds in the nearby Fountain Court, which has plenty of room for a dance floor and DJ or band, and a cake display. Dinner is served beneath glowing lanterns, and accompanied by the gentle sound of the fountain. Also, you don’t have to worry about partying late—this venue is one of the few along the Southern California coast where you can play music until midnight!

Post ceremony, larger groups usually gather for cocktails in the Fountain Court, and then stroll over to the tennis court, which is carpeted and can be tented, and has been magically transformed for dinner and dancing. Guests wanting a breather from the festivities often sit and stargaze on the terraced steps of the lovely Greco-style colonnaded amphitheater that overlooks the tennis court.

Photo opportunities abound here, and in spring, summer and fall couples often like to pose amongst the estate’s grapevines. Speaking of grapes, Rancho Sol Del Pacifico’s wines (their Cabernet and Chardonnay are award winners) can be purchased for your event, and there’s no corkage fee. Why not make an appointment for a tour of the estate and do a little wine tasting, too!

Designed for special events, this exotic venue is made available for a limited number of celebrations during the year to individuals, TV production companies and corporations. Majestic yet intimate, Rancho Sol Del Pacifico is an extraordinary place. And if you’re one of the few who are lucky enough to attend an event here, we know you’ll never forget it.

Fees & Deposits

Half of the rental fee, which ranges $4,000–12,500 depending on the guest count, is required to reserve the date. The balance is due 30 days prior to the event, and a security deposit is due 30 days prior.
