Clustered at the eastern edge of the San Fernando Valley, film studios like Warner Brothers and Disney create movie magic. Tucked away in the Hollywood foothills overlooking these dream factories is Ramsey’s At The Club, a special place that makes magic of a different sort—the kind you envision for your milestone celebration.
This private banquet space is an intriguing blend of stylish sophistication and culinary genius. “The Club” referred to in the name is the posh Toluca Lake Tennis Club where Ramsey’s is located, but the Ramsey’s experience is like being in an Old Hollywood supper club. Newly renovated with Mediterranean architectural flair, Ramsey’s evokes the classic elegance of a 1940s-era fine dining establishment. Yet sleek, understated furnishings lend contemporary polish that makes the ambiance oh-so-now.
The surprisingly versatile venue is comprised of three different sections—a patio, dining room and lounge. Guests first arrive at the covered patio, which includes a broad tiled breezeway and a series of curtained enclaves outfitted with lounge furniture. The area is easily transformed with canopies, luminarias and flowers into a romantic, candlelit ceremony site.
You can also tie the knot inside the dining room, a gorgeous space with dark wood floors and an open-beamed ceiling that form a striking contrast to cream-colored walls. Wrought-iron candelabra chandeliers offer soft illumination, and are especially enchanting when dressed with strands of crystals or floral garlands. Arrange plush leather guest chairs so that they face the handsome stone fireplace, add a petal-strewn aisle and you’ve got an intimate chapel for your ceremony.
Glass doors with arched transoms open onto the patio, so while the dining room is reset for the reception, guests relax with cocktails and tasty appetizers outside. Or hold your social hour in the adjoining back room, a hip lounge area revealed by sliding open a pocket door, disguised as an abstract tree mural on the rear wall. Paneled in dark wood with a matching bar, the swanky, tech-savvy space also has a baby grand piano—great for live dinner entertainment—and a builtin speaker system for dance music.
The highlight of Ramsey’s is the food. World-class executive chef and co-owner Jesse Genovese is very hands-on in orchestrating your event—he’s even been known to serve a course or pour the wine himself on occasion. Though trained at the London Culinary Arts Institute, it’s his travels to the rest of Europe and Asia that have most informed his cuisine. Just reading the list of exotic menu suggestions made our mouths water. Wild mushroom ravioli with lemon truffle butter sauce…chile and pineapple braised short ribs…brie and apple quesadillas…. The chef’s global-inspired selections are unique, yet approachable, and leave a lasting impression.
Charming enough to host his own Food Network show, Chef Jesse brings an infectious enthusiasm to his elegantly composed presentations. Custom menu options are actually encouraged. “I love working directly with the wedding couple,” says Jesse. “Whether it’s incorporating a family recipe or coming up with their signature dish, it’s the most satisfying aspect of my work.”

Fees & Deposits
25% of the estimated event total is required to reserve your date. Another 25% is due 6 months prior and the balance is due 1 month prior to the event. Rental fees range $1,500–2,500 depending on the day and time of the event. Meals range $35–100/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional.
