Fallbrook Wedding Venue
2001 Old Highway 395
Fallbrook, California 92028
The best part about Pala Mesa Resort is that the more you explore it, the more you love it—especially for weddings. Boasting one of the most beautiful and photogenic ceremony sites around, it’s sure to make a lasting impression on friends and family.
First of all, the grounds are lovely, as befits a property with one of the highest-rated golf courses in San Diego County. And the peaked-roof clubhouse with its walls of glass is a cool, timeless example of California Modern design. But what lies just beyond makes this venue a total standout: Perched high above their woodsy, hillside accommodations, is the dramatic Garden Pavilion. This expansive terrace exudes romantic appeal with a panorama of lush trees and flowering plants surrounding a 30-foot waterfall cascading over boulders. Taking center stage is a spectacular, stone pillared, red-roofed Bell Tower. It all feels as if you’ve just stumbled upon an exotic setting in the middle of a forest clearing. Best of all, once you’ve exchanged vows, you and your spouse can declare your union by ringing the 700-pound Mission bell … or, as one couple did, train your dog to jump up and pull the bell rope for you!
Following this “YouTube-worthy” moment, take a short walk up a winding path to the Cliff Terrace, an equally magical locale with an indoor/outdoor feel. Have cocktails al fresco, then dinner and dancing inside the gracefully arched tent, where one end opens to a rushing waterfall and the other to a patio with fire pit. Crystal chandeliers and billowing fabric add an ethereal ambiance to the entire space.
Steps away, there’s a smaller bell tower that’s great for more intimate ceremonies or stunning photos, as well as the colorful Bella Garden and nearby landscaped bridge. Or you can go from “I do” to first dance in the clubhouse itself. Start with a hearthside ceremony in the Fireside Room, then celebrate in the light-filled Sunroom, which opens to a patio overlooking the golf course. There’s even a ballroom for a more traditional, formal reception.
The food here is fabulous, so why not extend your event with a rehearsal or welcome dinner and farewell brunch? Their restaurant, Aqua Terra—so popular with locals—has private dining areas and an extensive menu that includes meat, fish and vegetarian favorites, expertly prepared. You’ll find this same care and service in their catering options, as well as an on-site team dedicated to helping you plan every aspect of your wedding weekend. With activities that range from private golf parties and in-room massages to tennis, hiking, swimming, hot-air ballooning and even antiquing in town, you and your guests will definitely want to turn this party into a destination getaway.
