Surrounded by the San Gabriel Mountains and bordered by the Angeles National Forest on three sides, Middle Ranch’s civilized lawns and attractive buildings are a pleasant surprise in the midst of this rugged landscape.
The 650-acre property, known primarily as an exclusive equestrian country club, is also a spectacular place for a wedding. Ceremonies are held on the expansive front lawn with a backdrop of trees and mountains. The venue’s main building, the award-winning Lodge, harmonizes nicely with its surroundings and has been recognized for its architectural style. Beneath its Spanish tile roof you’ll find a large “living room” that’s ideal for socializing over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The ambiance here is very relaxed, with a lofty, open-beamed ceiling, an abundance of warm natural wood, terracotta-tile floors and a handsome, two-sided fieldstone fireplace. Leather couches and chairs, along with antique Oriental carpets, complete the décor.
French doors open out to a lovely and spacious garden patio. Partly shaded by fragrant eucalyptus trees, it’s an intimate spot for an al fresco reception. A few steps uphill, there’s a pool with a large deck backed by an untamed hillside. You and your guests can sit by the water enjoying cocktails, or dine at tables set up on the patio.
The contrast between the wild, natural setting and the effortless elegance of the venue itself makes Middle Ranch a very special—and distinctly Californian—place to celebrate.
CEREMONY CAPACITY: The grass field can accommodate up to 225 seated guests. The Patio holds up to 100 seated, 150 standing.
EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: The Lodge accommodates 150 seated, 175 standing; the Patio holds 225 seated or standing guests. From late fall through early spring there is a 150-guest maximum.
MEETING CAPACITY: The Lodge holds 150 seated, the conference room up to 30 seated.
A nonrefundable $1,000 deposit is required to reserve your date. 50% of the total estimated event cost is due 180 days prior to the event; the balance is payable 14 days prior. The facility rental fee is $28/person (minimum $2,240) and includes tables, chairs, linens and choice of linen color, place settings, facility personnel, and 6 hours of facility rental time. The ceremony fee is $700 and includes an additional half hour of rental time, your choice of oakwood or white chairs, wedding arch, bridal dressing room, and rehearsal time.
