Long Beach Wedding Venue
2300 East Ocean Boulevard
Long Beach, California 90803
Perched on a bluff overlooking Long Beach Harbor and the Pacific Ocean, the well-tended grounds of the Long Beach Museum of Art offer a surprisingly spacious setting for an open-air event. Plus they only book one wedding per evening, so you can relax and truly enjoy the experience!
The property features a historic landmark—the beautifully restored Elizabeth Milbank Anderson House, a 1912 brick-and- timber Craftsman-style residence and an adjacent carriage house. A picturesque arched entryway welcomes guests into the private garden, which is nestled between the historic home and the gleaming new two-story exhibition galleries.
If you’ve contemplated having an outdoor event with sweeping ocean views, this is a must-see location. The seaward side of the garden affords a spectacular panorama of the white sands of Long Beach, the harbor (including the Queen Mary) and the Pacific beyond.
This versatile space is great for a ceremony, cocktail party or reception. Whatever event you host here, you’ll be treated to fabulous ocean vistas from the lawn or from the patio surrounding the Claire Falkenstein fountain. And no matter what the weather, you can still have your event outdoors since the garden lawn can be tented.
More intimate gatherings, like a small wedding or rehearsal dinner, may be held in the Museum Café, located on the ground floor of the Elizabeth Milbank Anderson house. Occupying what used to be the historic home’s living and dining rooms, the café is warm and inviting with mahogany paneled walls, a hardwood floor, multiple fireplaces, and bay windows with views of the fountain and the ocean in the distance.
The museum will handle all your catering needs and provide rental equipment (tables, chairs, linens, etc.) and service staff. You may bring in any DJ, florist, cake designer, and photographer you like, or choose from their preferred list of vendors.
CEREMONY, EVENT/RECEPTION & MEETING CAPACITY: The Garden and Patio accommodate up to 300 seated or 500 standing guests; the Museum Café holds up to 100 seated or 150 standing.
The full site fee and a refundable $1,000 security deposit are due on the day of the contract signing. 50% of the estimated event total is due 1 month prior to the wedding and final payment is due 2 weeks prior. Catering packages range $130–$200/person depending on options selected and the date of the event. Valet Parking is required and ranges $600–$1,500 depending on the guest count.
