Why We Like This Place

Even in a town as picturesque as Laguna Beach, the utterly charming La Casa del Camino is in a class by itself. With an alluring mix of waterfront location, early Spanish Mediterranean architecture and expansive views of the Pacific Ocean, this historic boutique hotel is a standout choice for a romantic wedding celebration.

Built in 1929, this beachside gem, distinguished by its red-tiled roof, classic archways and wooden balconies, provides a tantalizing peek at the early days when it first became a favorite getaway for Hollywood stars and starlets. Combine that with what today’s La Casa del Camino has to offer—the hip energy of its wildly popular K’ya Bistro Bar and its open-air rooftop retreat with unparalleled ocean vistas—and you get the quintessential Laguna Beach experience.

The first thing that greets you here is the beautiful lobby, an amazing space with high plaster ceilings accented with wooden cross-beams. An elaborate candelabrum adorns the center of the room, which feels like the main reception area of a gracious hacienda. Off to the right is a baby grand piano. On the left is an adobe-style fireplace topped with a tiled niche displaying flickering candles that cast a warm glow. Everywhere you look there are fabulous antique finds, creating a uniquely memorable atmosphere. This is definitely not your ordinary hotel setting, and this large-yet-cozy site would be perfect for hosting friends and family for cocktails, dinner or dancing.

But without doubt, the pièce de résistance at La Casa del Camino is its Rooftop Lounge. The only one like it in Laguna Beach, it serves up 360-degree panoramas with head-on ocean views and a full-service bar. This sprawling, wraparound deck is a spectacular wedding site where you can make a dramatic entrance through a tile-roofed private portal and exchange vows in front of an infinite expanse of sparkling blue water. Your nearest and dearest gather around you in semi-circular seating, giving everyone a great vantage point for the ceremony. Enjoy an al fresco toast and bask in the cool marine breezes before sitting down at beautifully appointed tables. Then dine in the company of the surrounding sea and the occasional curious sea bird. And if one perfect day is just not enough, you might want to consider reserving the entire hotel for a weekend so that you and your out-of-town guests can truly savor your time together at this wonderful home-away-from-home.

30% of the total event cost is required to reserve your date and the balance is due prior to the event. Rental fees range up to $3,500 depending on the guest count and the season rented. Please inquire directly about our all-inclusive buyout packages. Meals range $25–60/person. Tax, alcohol and a 21% service charge are additional.
