Large affairs work well in the Grand Ballroom, whose private prefunction room is perfect for mingling and passing hors d’oeuvres while you and your photographer take photos elsewhere on the hotel’s verdant grounds. Inside the main ballroom, crystal chandeliers contribute to an ambiance of formal elegance. More intimate receptions are held in the airy Cabana Room. Graced with plantation shutters and floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto a wraparound patio lined with potted palms, vivid impatiens and whimsical stone monkeys, the space brings the tropics to the California coast. Wedding ceremonies take place on the adjacent pool terrace, where tiny lights, luxuriant foliage, canopy-style cabanas and a 17-foot fireplace add warmth and romance to the poolside enclave.

At all venues on the property, guests will experience superior service and culinary excellence overseen by nationally known Executive Chef Bill Bracken. If they’re from out of town, they’ll also enjoy accommodations in spacious, tastefully furnished rooms or suites, most with ocean views, as well as all the services of the on-site fitness center and The Spa at Island Hotel.

A $5,000 deposit is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 2 weeks prior to the event. Rental fees range $600–1,500 depending on guests needs. Meals range $65–150/person. Tax, alcohol and a 22% service charge are additional.
