The design of the ivory stucco hotel reflects Westlake’s Spanish heritage, as well as a dash of contemporary Mediterranean elegance. Its open architecture features a spectacular skylit atrium, with indoor verandas curving around a central plaza. Everywhere you turn, intriguing elements catch your eye: a rustic wall sconce, chandeliers that appear hand-wrought, fresh floral arrangements, a limestone fountain. Most arresting are the colorful murals flanking the foyer from lobby to ballroom.

Fourteen different meeting spaces, all comfortable and tastefully appointed, are available for luncheons, seminars or company gatherings, including the brand new Vista Ballroom. This versatile, attractive space is lined with windows that bring in natural light for daytime events while capturing views of the hotel gardens.

In fact, if you’ve always fantasized about a garden wedding, then Hyatt Westlake can make your dreams a reality. Picture your guests gathered on a swath of lawn, basking in the warm California sunshine while they await your appearance. At last, you begin the walk down the aisle alongside a waterfall cascading over rocks into a placid pond. You join your groom at an ivy-covered gazebo under the protective shade of lofty evergreens. What a perfect place for exchanging vows or taking romantic photos! Cocktails and even receptions can be enjoyed right in the garden, too.

Or retire indoors to the Grand Ballroom, which reflects the same attention to detail as the rest of the Hyatt. Large beveled mirrors, framed in oak overlaid with an ornate iron design, and a coordinating cornice around the Ballroom’s perimeter lend the room an air of distinction. Alabaster dome-shaped lighting fixtures with faux candles hang from the recessed ceiling, and vibrant shades of blue and gold in the carpet add to the room’s inviting atmosphere. Air walls allow you to divide the room in half or quarters. The Grand Ballroom Foyer, with one wall of windows, is a light and airy spot to host a cocktail reception.

Fees & Deposits

25% of the estimated event total is required to reserve your date with the remaining balance due 10 days prior to your event. Wedding packages include 4 passed hors d’oeuvres, choice of meal, wine with dinner, champagne toast, cake cutting and a complimentary guest room for the bride and groom. Package prices start at $70/person. All charges are exclusive of tax and service charge.

Other options for your event include, but are not limited to, hosted bar, chair covers, chargers, audiovisiual and lighting. Call for details.
