Why We Like This Place

If castles in the sand were real, they would no doubt look something like the magnificent Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa. With its towers, fountains, and gardens, it’s positively palatial, offering over 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space sparkling against the blue Pacific.

Special events unfold with grace and elegance in the sumptuously appointed Conference Center, where the dramatic King Triton Fountain and porte-cochère greet guests upon arrival. The Grand Conference Lobby, with its cathedral-high ceiling and second-story balcony surround, has a sweeping inner courtyard feel. Festivities can easily begin here, or guests can proceed to any one of the property’s numerous ballrooms, courtyards, and terraces. The Lighthouse Courtyard is particularly enchanting for your outdoor ceremony or event. It’s a wide lawn, surrounded by stately palms, that leads from the shimmering Mermaid Fountain to the resort’s stunning white Lighthouse Tower and Bridge. The ocean view is spectacular and uninterrupted here, but that’s no surprise—this is a world in which unparalleled Pacific vistas abound.

Coast and sea also captivate from the gorgeous Huntington Ballroom Foyer and Terrace—a delightful spot for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, where delicate ocean breezes and the sound of the surf drift in through the open archways. A sculpted balustrade and handsome wrought-iron sconces give it a romantically Mediterranean feel. Also opening onto the terrace is the Grand Ballroom, which accommodates up to 2,000 and has its own Grand Foyer. Both ballrooms feature beautiful design elements that reflect the resort’s breezy Andalusian style, like regal columns, soaring ceilings crossed with artfully carved and scrolled beams, seashell-shaped sconces, and hand-blown glass chandeliers. The effect is an ambiance that’s majestic, yet intimate, whether the rooms are divided into smaller sections or used in their splendid entirety. The Mariner’s Ballroom downstairs shares the same subtle allure. Whether partitioned by gauzy draperies or open to seat 600, it feels very private, comfortable and secluded.

The Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa is a venue where you can entertain on an opulent scale and still feel totally at home, it’s a setting that’s both luxurious and relaxed. You may get lost just exploring the grounds, checking out the ballrooms, courtyards, and galleries, but you probably won’t want to leave. Fortunately you won’t have to. The resort has 517 spacious guestrooms, 57 plush suites, a 20,000-square-foot spa, shops, a multitude of services, and an experienced and attentive staff. All you and your guests have to do is settle in, celebrate, unwind, and stay for as long as you like.

Fees & Deposits

25% of the total estimated event cost is required at time of booking, an additional 25% is due 3 months prior and the balance is due 10 days prior to the event. Rental fees start at $500 and vary depending on the guest count, season, time and day of the event and the space rented. Meals range $75–200/person. Tax, alcohol and a 22% service charge are additional.
