You get your first taste of the hotel’s sophisticated style in the entry, distinguished by a stunning inlaid wood floor, double-sided marble fireplace, and tall votive candles. The adjacent lobby, called the Living Room, is both chic and comfy, with faux-snakeskin sofas, soft silk banquettes and sinuous, croc-embossed benches. A touch of Japanese influence, a dash of Hollywood Regency glamour and a jolt of eye-catching modern art all meld seamlessly into a hip, but understated, elegance. It’s here that Kimpton’s signature daily wine hour takes place, with hotel managers and a friendly, attentive staff mingling with guests to answer any questions.

BLVD 16, the hotel’s urbane restaurant, is a unique setting for a reception, rehearsal dinner, or post-wedding brunch. Dark wood, rich leather, and the glow from huge pendant lights contribute to a warm, lounge-like atmosphere, while the expert catering staff makes sure your event is flawlessly executed. Executive Chef Richard Hodge works closely with you to create a farm-to-table, locally sourced menu (and then actually prepares your meal himself), and Palomar’s in-house pastry chef can design your custom wedding cake! Seasonal and inventive, the catering cuisine incorporates the same modern twists to old favorites that have made the hotel’s restaurant a magnet for locals.

Another option for special events is the Premiere Ballroom, located on the first floor of the Hotel. This clean-lined, modern space features a prefunction area with floor-to-ceiling windows and soft lounge seating that’s perfect for a cocktail reception. The ballroom foyer is bathed in natural light and comes with its own cozy outdoor patio. State-of-the-art sound and lighting systems in the main room allow you to vary the mood, from whimsical to romantic.

After the festivities, enjoy a private toast in your exquisite suite—furnished with Frette linens, a double soaking tub and organic toiletries—as you savor the spectacular vistas of Westside landmarks sparkling below.
