Set in the quiet El Dorado Park neighborhood of Long Beach, this historic golf course— once the site of the Queen Mary Open and now home to the prestigious Long Beach Open—is a favorite event location for locals and visitors alike. The lovely public park that surrounds the landscaped course frames it with even more trees, pretty paths and picturesque waterways—all ideal for beautiful day-of portraits of the bride and groom.
Couples can exchange vows outdoors on the Garden Ceremony Lawn overlooking the
18th green and gorgeous views of the course. Towering trees act as green “umbrellas,” providing natural shade. There’s also a “Winner’s Board” here that often serves as a backdrop for a mini stage where wedding party photos can be taken.
Cocktail receptions and dinner dances are held just a few steps away in the airy, white Garden Pavilion, a dramatic tented venue. Set apart from the clubhouse, it features a private Garden Patio entrance and a high, peaked ceiling with elegant draping; at night, chandeliers and twinkle lights contribute to a magical, fairy-tale atmosphere.
The space is incredibly flexible, which helps explain its widespread appeal. In addition to wedding receptions, this affordable and immensely popular setting accommodates corporate events, bar and bat mitzvahs, quinceañeras, sweet sixteen parties, anniversary celebrations—even auctions, mini-festivals and tournaments! El Dorado will provide all of your tables, chairs, linens, glassware, flatware and more. However, you can also bring in lounge furniture, decorations, special uplighting and floral arrangements to personalize the environment and create an ambiance that suits your party style.
Require more space? Inside the recently renovated clubhouse, you’ll find additional options. The handsome restaurant treats diners to floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase patio and golf course vistas, while the private dining room with coffered ceilings, mood lighting, and stained-glass accents is ideal for rehearsal dinners or smaller functions. When schedules permit, both can be used to expand and enhance your function.

EVENT/RECEPTION & MEETING CAPACITY: Indoors, the facility accommodates 120 seated or 250 standing guests. Outdoors, it accommodates 320 seated or 400 standing.
MEETING CAPACITY: Meeting spaces seat 320 guests.
A nonrefundable deposit, which is applied to your food and beverage total, is required to reserve your date. The amount of the deposit varies, depending on how far in advance you book. Payment terms for the balance also vary, and may be arranged on an individual basis. Meals start at $20/person. Tax, alcohol and service charge are additional.
