Why We Like This Place

For years, Eagle’s Nest Restaurant & Banquets has verged on being a military secret, but now that word is out about this venue it’s good news for brides. Tucked into a quiet, residential neighborhood convenient to both Orange and Los Angeles Counties, Eagle’s Nest offers a picturesque setting on the sprawling greens of the Cypress Navy Golf Course. A second locale run by the same folks is available on a private beach at the Seal Beach Weapons Station off Pacific Coast Highway, ten minutes away by car. The tranquil grounds of both facilities provide numerous options for ceremonies and receptions of any size.

With its distinctive California Mission architecture, Mediterranean-inspired furnishings and comfortable lounge, the Eagle’s Nest clubhouse offers a relaxed ambiance for guests to mix and mingle. Before they arrive, prepare for your big day in a spacious bride’s room, where you and your bridesmaids can sip champagne and nibble on fresh strawberries. Grooms have their own private space, too.

Larger ceremonies are held outdoors in the Pavilion, a wood-beamed, open-air structure overlooking the golf course. Decorated with flowers, fabric or left au naturel, it’s a dramatic al fresco shelter. A brick walkway, often strewn with rose petals, leads to the raised area where you and your groom will exchange vows. Alternatively, you can tie the knot under a white Victorian gazebo on the neighboring lawn against a backdrop of leafy trees.

If you’ve always dreamed of a beach wedding, get married at Eagle’s Nest’s private beach, just five miles away. Have your reception right on the sand with a stately battleship in the background, or dine back at the clubhouse.

Eagle’s Nest’s banquet rooms all offer views of the golf course, and a variety of wedding packages allow you to make your chosen room look exactly the way you want. Decorating options include swagging, customized lighting, chair covers, and more. The ballroom is equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, and an on-site DVD player or projector and big screen are at your disposal for a memorable slideshow.

Your reception meal will be prepared by Eagle’s Nest’s professional culinary staff. They’re the exclusive caterers for the adjacent naval base, and they’re known for using the freshest ingredients in classically elegant dishes.

Photographic opportunities abound throughout the clubhouse, as well as on the golf course—a favorite spot is in front of a fountain on the fairways. If you and your wedding party are golf aficionados, you can arrange for a pre-wedding game, or capture post-wedding moments while posing on golf carts.

A lovely way to spend some post-wedding time with your guests (especially those staying for the weekend) is to invite them onto the fairways for a congenial round of golf. As you relax with friends and family, you’ll be able to relive all the wonderful moments of your wedding, and fully appreciate how seamlessly it was orchestrated by your attentive Eagle’s Nest pros.

Fees & Deposits

A deposit of $1,000 is required to reserve your date and the balance is due 14 days prior to the event. Meals range $10–30/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional.
