Why We Like This Place
One of the best things in life is pleasant surprises, and Eagle Glen Golf Club on Corona’s lofty west side is full of them. The first time you lay eyes on its cupola-topped clubhouse with its impressive entrance of cinnamon-colored wood trusses, you may be amazed to find a place like this up here. The next surprise comes when you step into the soaring light-splashed lobby and see the quality of the architecture and design. But that’s just a prelude to the final treat, first glimpsed through the lobby’s glass doors and windows: the stunning view of the verdant golf course against a backdrop of chaparral-covered hills.
Eagle Glen ambles along the base of some very steep hills on the eastern edge of Cleveland National Forest. While you’re on the golf course, you’re in a private, human realm. But once you leave the greens and start heading up the hills, you enter a wild domain of untamed landscapes. Eagle Glen gives you the wonderful sensation of gazing over nature’s might from an absolutely civilized vantage.
There are two outdoor ceremony options to choose from. The Lakeside site features a wrought-iron arbor, perched on a small rise above a reed-ringed pond with a fountain playing at its center. Surrounding it are close-cropped greens that flow up to the foot of the hills. A graceful low wooden bridge that spans the pond at its narrowest point is a splendid spot for photos. For a more dramatic setting, take a stroll over to the Mountainside site, which has a mountain vista. Here, you can get married beneath a wrought-iron gazebo, enclosed by a semicircle of sheltering pine trees.
Eagle Glen’s spacious ballroom is managed by a seasoned catering staff that handles scores of weddings each year. Floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors let in lots of natural light, and look out to the veranda and beyond. Here, guests can sit and savor picturesque views of the back nine’s grand swath of lawn, as it tumbles toward the clubhouse from the edge of the national forest. In the afterglow of a lovely ceremony and great food, you and your guests will feel a sense of total satisfaction as the sun sets behind the mountains.
Perched just above the treelined streets of the surrounding community, and next to a national forest, Eagle Glen really is one of Corona’s best-kept secrets. After experiencing this inviting venue’s beautiful location and high-quality services, you and your guests will not be disappointed.
