Why We Like This Place

If first impressions make a lasting impression, then The Hills Hotel is a place you’re definitely going to remember. After a multi-million dollar transformation, this boutique hotel is now a trendy, upscale venue for weddings.

A grand staircase leads up to the Mezzanine level, where you’ll find five event spaces that you can use in the way that best suits your wedding or private party. Guests can mingle in any of the four prefunction areas, which flow from one to another. Each has its own ambiance and all are set with cocktail tables that feature large crystal vases filled with white branches. Walls are covered in light gray leather panels, an understated backdrop to the iridescent crystal sign that announces the adjoining ballroom.

Embossed, custom-designed doors open to the Crystal Ballroom, which lives up to its name. Formal and elegant, it’s outfitted with crown molding, mirror-backed wall sconces and six glittering beaded crystal chandeliers ringed with sparkling “candles.” The walls have a subtle shimmer, thanks to ground crystals embedded in the pearl-colored paper. Colored LED lights in the coffered ceiling allow you to create whatever atmosphere you desire: Choose shades of blue or purple for a sultry, nightclub feeling, or use pink or amber tones for something more romantic or festive. Silver Chiavari chairs (also available in other colors) add a sophisticated touch.

Ceremonies can take place in the Crystal Ballroom, but they’re often held in the Veranda, an atrium-style corridor that runs the length of the ballroom. Light comes from seven crystal chandeliers suspended from the tray ceiling, as well as from a wall of windows overlooking the trees right outside and the mountains in the distance. This area is also well suited for a cocktail reception or a buffet setup during dinner in the ballroom.

The Crystal Lounge is ideal for relaxing on white tufted benches while sipping cocktails, sampling appetizers and perhaps watching the bride and groom’s life stories playing on TV monitors. The Patio, which is staged with lounge furniture, provides another comfortable spot. It has a fuel-burning fireplace with glittered white star lights that add an extra glow during evening events.

Couples getting married here have an additional ceremony option, the Garnet Gallery, done in classic yet modern tones of maroon, purple and gold. All ceremonies include the rehearsal and the assistance of an on-staff coordinator.

The hotel’s wedding packages offer a long list of amenities: plated, duet and buffet entrée choices; wedding cake; champagne and cider toast; Chiavari chairs; and much more. And when the wedding comes to a close, the newlyweds can retire to their complimentary room, where a sweet gift of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries awaits. The next morning, they’ll enjoy a complimentary breakfast in bed or in The Hills Café.

CEREMONY CAPACITY: Crystal I and II hold 220 seated; the Garnet Gallery holds 120 seated guests indoors and the site holds 150 seated outdoors.

EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: The Crystal Ballroom can accommodate 280 seated and the Garnet Gallery 90 seated guests indoors. The poolside area holds 80 seated or 100 standing outdoors.

MEETING CAPACITY: The site holds 400 guests seated theater-style.

Fees & Deposits

A $2,500 deposit is required to reserve your date. 50% of the estimated balance is due 180 days prior, and the final guarantee balance is due 14 days prior to the event. Packages start at $67/person. Tax and a 20% service charge are additional.
